Steve does say "Linus has personally invested $200k in Framework". But I don't think it really matters whether its LTT/LMG or Linus's own cash. Linus and Yvonne are the sole/majority shareholders for LMG (IDK if Luke/Nick/other C Suite has any). As such, utilizing LTT to promote a brand that he has a personal investment in, or any negative coverage of their competitor can be seen as a conflict since he personally stands to gain when Framework gets good press.

"All the front IO is just, right on the board so there's no internal wiring. That's pretty cool."

Or as the rest of the community calls it, wasteful. It means the case can't be re-used with another motherboard, and the motherboard can't be used with another case. Which coming from someone who normally champions repairability is a bit disappointing.

He doesn't as evidenced by the Billet Labs video IMO. He said no one should buy the incredibly niche product. This is coming from the guy who sold $10,000 whale tickets to LTX... The people who can afford a $10,000 whale ticket are the exact people who I'd expect to buy the Billet Labs cooler once it was a final product. His comments that it wasn't a good product are also incredibly bad takes. It's a prototype, that means it's not the final f'ing product. It would be like reviewing their first version of the LTT screwdriver which (was probably awful compared to the final one), and saying that no one should buy the final product.

It's still reinforces Madison's experience to some degree that they thought it would be ok to make that joke in an "apology" video.

How is GN making money off of it? The video isn't monetized, there's no sponsor, they don't have a link to their store in the description or anywhere in the video. When they call out MSI or NewEgg, they've still put their own links in the video.

According to Billet, LTT doesn't have the block yet, so they can't send it back today. They just confirmed it's not with a competitor and that it's "likely he can get the block back from the buyer."
