  1. So, I don’t know if this is the right place to post this sort of thing but I’d be really grateful if this wasn’t removed, I’m desperate at this point. So, basically I have a decently spec’d gaming PC and it’s getting seriously bottle necked broadband speeds, to the point where it’s almost unusable, and I have no idea why. My broadband package should be 50Mbp/s+, which my iPhone 6s, my PS4 and my dad’s 8 YEAR OLD DELL LAPTOP ON VISTA is getting, but my gaming PC is getting about 3 to 11Mbp/s (it varies) and it’s honestly infuriating, it should be about 50 or more. I also have MASSIVE lag spikes for like 4 or 5 seconds, where my in game ping can hit upwards of 12,000, then it goes back to normal. It takes me days to download anything of worth now and it’s even starting to effect me in-game. I get kicked for connection issues more often than I finish 1 match. I’ve ran malware scans, I’ve checked and reinstalled my wifi dongle drivers, I’ve uninstalled literally any unnecessary programs that might conflict in even the slightest way, I’ve recently swapped my wi-fi dongle, I've reinstalled Windows 10. The only thing I haven't done is connect it directly into the router via Ethernet, which I'm doing later today when the leads arrive. I'm honestly so stuck and I don't know what else to try. What do you guys suggest? Plz to be helping
  2. So I've been having this for about 2 or 3 months now and it's finally driven me to near insanity. I don't know how, and I don't know why, but this happens to me about every 10-15 minutes: Every 15 minutes or so I'll lose internet connection entirely for about 5 or 6 seconds, my computer will still tell me that I'm connected but I'll get major lag in any online game that I'm playing in and a fair few other applications are effected in a similar way. Long enough to get kicked out of some online games, however some don't kick me out, which is weird, I manage to reconnect in time. Skype won't completely drop, but the people I'm talking to won't be able to hear me for about 5-10 seconds but I can hear them, it's really frustrating. I can download, upload and watch YouTube videos absolutely fine, there's no issues there, it's weirdly consistent but everything else just stops for in short bursts. I'm pulling my hair out. What do you guys think? Is it my router or my WiFi adapter? plz help :')
  3. @TheGamingBarrel Holy Overclock Batman! I changed the ratio to 46 and it didn't bluescreen! I'm still not even sure if it's overclocked though... I might sound like a complete idiot but where does it say for definite the current GHz of a CPU?
  4. @TheGamingBarrel This is what it shows in 'my PC' is this right?
  5. @TheGamingBarrel I found this setting and set it to 75% but it's still showing stock speeds
  6. @DioOmicida Mine doesn't have that but thanks for the suggestions. @TheGamingBarrel Right, it's just that it's comparing mine to the same CPU but overclocked. Also, if my motherboard does have this option what should I do?
  7. @TheGamingBarrelI set my core voltage to 1.275 like suggested. Weird. I'll check the bios again. I've got the cooler master nepton 240m.
  8. @TheGamingBarrel Still shows stock speeds. I don't understand. Theoretically have I done what needs to be done?
  9. @TheGamingBarrel If I up the ratio to 4.5 I bluescreen : / @Bananasplit_00 I've done what you suggested and it still comes up with stock speeds @Quix That's enabled by default on my motherboard but thank you!
  10. @Bananasplit_00 It shows 4.00GHz everywhere besides in 'my PC' which for some reason shows both.
  11. Sorry what should I set to 4.5? & I'm overclocking using Bios but if there's an easier method I'm all ears
