Keep the 390. BUT It seems EVGA and Gigabyte have the best Nvidia GPUs, this is just based off of forum posts I've read though.

Looks like a 6 pin to 8 pin adapter. It goes from the PSU to the GPU. You need to plug in two of those into the GPU.

If you're considering going with a 950, I'd just go with an AMD gpu.
