those kinds of things's Achievements

  1. hi all, im planning to sell my spare parts in form of a budget build. the processor is an AMD Phenom II X4 Black Edition (quad core, 3.2 ghz) and i'm not sure which GPU to use: i still have my gtx 460 (1 GB), but, theres also the gainward gtx 770 (2 GB)- would the 770 still match? sorry to use that stupid word but, "bottlenecking" is my concern here... thx!
  2. besides linus? JayzTwoCents. just because it's priceless when he goes mad about something (no EVGA backplate, people saying the human eye... 24 fps blabla and, old but *best*, the gtx titan-rage) i miss OC3D (tiny tom logan) in the list, the amount of detail in his reviews can help you deciding wether to buy something or not. i'm not sure about the teksyndicate guy, kinda creepy and snobbish, like he would eat your kid alive while telling you he would have made a tastier one... nothing wrong with smoking or vaping or any other drug though, that's ok.
  3. hmm  maybe kind of an educational toy for toddlers?
  4. i know, it definitely was kiling me too. [insert profanity here] ubsioft! if only i wasn't such a sucker for aaa-titles (never ever will buy an ac-game again though, black flag was the last time i took this insane bs)
  5. if u still play fc4 you can try this, it fixed my microstuttering (or whatever it was) instantly: http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/954533-EASY-FIX-Stutter-Frame-Skipping-Far-Cry-4!
  6. sounds good but i really don't feel like buying such a huge display thingy when i bought the h440 case for super sleek appearence... thx though maybe i could sqeeze it right behind the window, that would look dope
  7. yeah i think they do *but*: they say, it's because the fans need higher voltage to start. here, take a look: http://www.noctua.at/main.php?show=faqs&step=2&lng=en&products_id=85 (the chart at the bottom) worst thing is, this means there is nearly no contoller that will work. damn, really should have done better research in the first place
  8. nope. i gave it a try with a spare LNA i have and the fan didn't start. sooo... i'll just keep 'em and buy a controller, seems the best way to go at the moment.
  9. no, noctua does clearly not recomend using LNAs for the industrial line and the don`t come with them. i tried it though but the fan wouldn't start (as noctua said on their homepage...). so i think i should install a grid+ but i'm not sure, this 3pin-fan-thing is still a little confusing to me. i thought i still could control voltage via BIOS but NOPE, not with my MSI-board...
  10. i feel like being a crazy person for buying them. my case sounded like an airplane with one 140 (exhaust) and three 120s (front). the case is intended to be quiet but that didn't help at all. i tried to undervolt them but apparently my BIOS wont let me (?). do you think i could solve this with a grid+?
  11. hi all, i recently subscribed to linusTT because it's a great way of receiving overall/ basic knowledge and it's a blast to watch too. the build in my signature is my 2nd one and i realized that i still have many things to learn about various details- i think this could be the right community to excuse my poor knowledge and funny english as well. also, a late "happy new year" 2 all! tom
