  1. I posted this on the levnovo forums but i was just told to ring customer services, my laptop just over a year old so they probably wont do anything for me, im hoping you guys can help My l480 is just over a year old. It no longer boots, the power led powers on as if it powers on but no screen display and no fan spin. ive checked with an external hdmi but nothing. i have tried charging and discharing. I have tried unplugging the battery to drain the caps but nothing. When i plug it in to charge the charge led lights up. when i try to power it off it takes some tiome for the leds to power off which to me indicates its got past bios? (i think) i wouldnt know as theres no display. the only indication i have that it is recieving my input is the led lighting on the 'i' and power button. I think ive tried every possible thing in the list of generic things going. google doesnt seem to help much either. anyone know how to fix this?
  2. £300 England until August, then us Bigger = better
  3. Of course i know larger capacity = longer life but ive seen alot of people saying they put more consideration into the hardware the battery is running, which i can see why but i dont know how much it effects it. Like could a 3500 mah phone out perform a 4000 mah phone with less optimised hardware / software? I bought the redmi note 2 a while back because of its 4000 mAh battery but xiaomi phones have shit build quality and after a year the software is really annoying me, and it only charges after about an hour of phone yoga. (side note im looking for a new phone, battery life and performance is all i care about, also thinking usb type c if anyone has any recommendations) Sorry about the bad formatting i had a hard time articulating all of my points into a concise post
  4. not really, just that the EU said we cant get fucked up the arse by our providers whereas papa trump doesnt give a fuck. EDIT: did the physics quote and astronomical image not give it away? im sorry you're upset that you have to pay high prices but acting like a condescending prick on the internet isn't going to change that
  5. i dont know if you know this but most if not all uk mobile providers give you the same speed and coverage in the whole of europe, including mine. thats about 10 million kilometers squared, with 53 million people it could provide to at £10 a month. compared to the US with 9 million kilometers squared with about 320 million people at around £70 a month. "So, you tell me which is a more significant number." NB i dont care about this argument at all i legit just wanted to know about mobile providers in the us, thanks for all your help though lol
  6. I doubt all of the area is covered
  7. Yeah im probably going to do that, thanks very much for help man, Its appreciated
  8. and much less people to provide it to ...
  9. shit fuck that i dont need a phone that much
  10. what would you say for 10Gb?
  11. holy shit, i pay £10 a month
  12. ive used 10gb so far this month but ive been away from home alot so id say 20gb is a good guess
  13. moving to the states for a year for study and need a number, dont need calls or texts just need as much data for as cheap as possible, as im english i thought it would be similar but it seems the american providers are not only different but operate differently, does anyone have any suggestions for providers or providers to avoid or even an actual plans? thanks in advance you guys always help
