  1. At the $1000 dollar limit ur probs better going inspiron, you can get way more pc for $1000, XPS puts the price up nearly as much as a apple sticker, and no chrome (or any browser will eat 4gb ram for breakfast
  2. all the revisions since atx 2.0 which was brought out to deal with modern pcs taking most of there power from the 12v line then converting rather than using the 3.v and 5v lines like pre pentium 4's did.... in other words you'll be fine (as long as you have enough pci power connectors
  3. my brother and i are both 1080 ti owners and we both went for 35 inch 1440p ultrawides, however I went for a screen with perfect 10 bit colour reproduction whereas my bro went for a 100 hz curved g-sync monitor. having gone down triple 1080p, 4k and high refresh rate monitors i would say that ultrawide is the best monitor for anything. the extra screen area helps massively (you gain 10 degrees horizontal view for about 1.5 vertical)and the better (colour on both as there was no cheap ultrawides when we bought them) make noticing details/shadows (especially in pubg fog) 100x easier)
  4. its prob something simple like it deciding to go full turbo when you click a button and hitting 50c in 2 secs. or a glitch similar to the one in ryzen that caused mis reporting,
  5. are any 8 pin power connectors connected correctly, most gpus will run fine on just the 6 pin part until gaming.
  6. i thought boistar is blacklisted on all tech forums cause of how bad there bio is
  7. its more a asian company, also dose not bad in aus/nz, theres a few like that. usually suffer from ching-lish in the drivers/utilities. apart from that they should be the same as most cards just without the evga/asus/msi price tag. but they seem to be the same price as a fecking amp extreme on the 1080 ti
  8. a few velcro ties down from the desk to make a main trunk , and then groups of functions, USB, display port, power, Ethernet, and so on as a nice series of loops all Velcro and colour coded so i can find them as needed. Some individual cables might get some colour coded zip/cable ties at either end just to speed up sorting out problems (only on generic power or usb cables).
  9. unless you live a 3rd world sh*t hole, the price for replacing your rig for the tdp doesnt outdo upgrading the cooler and Overclocking the hell out it. As a 5820K owner myself who considered swapping back to AMD until my brother who has a similar rig to myself added a kraken x62 and pushed his over clocks up to the quiet limit. It worked that well that i bought a x62 myself when i ordered my 1080ti
  10. these are meant for silent running not exreme overclocks (confused me as well) i ended up going for a amp extreme
  11. maxnomic xl range is brilliant. rated for your weight, they even widened and flattened the back for wide waists and broad shoulders, being both i can confirm that it is a hell of a lot better than my previous chairs.
  12. please dont say all those ports are taken up by small hard drives.
  13. I don't either, my brother does. But living in the countryside i get tiny 2 pixel bugs sixed bugs under my pc/tv screens
  14. just making sure, you have cleaned the screen, its not on top and just slightly stuck
