  1. That i5 should definitely not bottleneck your gpu.
  2. That's strange. A reviewer said that it had the proper specs. I've bought from gearbest before, and had no problems with it. Well.. At least I have paypal?
  3. Hey everyone, Gearbest are selling GTX 960's for $99.99, looks like a hell of a good deal, I already picked up 2 for myself. Enjoy EDIT. APPARENTLY I GOT SWINDLED
  4. Yeah thanks that helps me put things into perspective. I'm still stuck on either 2560x1080 vs 2560x1440. Comparing this, this and this Which would you recommend?
  5. I am looking at the 21:9, however I feel like the height might be too small for me. Could you measure the height of the panel?
  6. Hi everyone, I plan on buying a new monitor soon, I have a budget of whatever is worth the value. I will very likely buy one of those PLS/IPS monitors from Korea. The current options I have are: 16:9 2560x1440 27" - Something like a crossover or qnix is likely. 21:9 2560x1080 29" - Crossover monitor 16:9 3840x2160 28" - Yamakasi monitor I will use the monitor for various activities; Music Production Coding Word Processing etc, Graphic manipulation. Gaming I am based in Australia so international shipping is mandatory. I like large monitors with tiny bezels, so if you find one that would be great too. I need advice on the following: The pixel policy of the ebay sellers, eg. warranty, experiences etc. Scaling of various resolutions. Gloss vs Matte? Is perfect pixel worth the extra? Overclocking limit on the monitors What the hell is 10bit Ebay sellers to avoid? Does freesync make playing games similar to watching 60fps footage on youtube? If you have some good finds etc, please post them as I am open to any other monitors. Thanks for any help in advance.
  7. Yes, unless the cable is broken, or the contacts have impaired conductivity.
  8. Check the connection, usually this distortion is caused by a faulty cable or loose connection.
  9. Listen to this guy's advice, I chose a 2ms TN panel over a 6ms IPS panel. Big mistake, I don't notice the 2ms at all, especially with 60hz. IPS is much better in terms of colour output and viewing angles.
  10. Looks like there is no way since they have some sort of sync authorization. https://www.quora.com/Will-the-Apple-Watch-work-with-Android-devices
  11. The speed isn't too bad, just not nearly as fast as multithreaded processors. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/pentium-g3258-overclocking-performance,3849-14.html if you look at this chart: https://www.guru3d.com/articles-pages/pentium-20th-anniversary-series-g3258-processor-review,10.html You can see that the pentium performs quite well, but only with a good overclock. I used an r9 285 for video encoding since it has GCN 1.2. It performed faster than my pentium (I got a pretty poor chip, only OC to 4.3ghz)
  12. Honestly, I used a G3258 for almost half a year, I did not even notice that it was slow at all, when overclocked it really is a beast of a chip. The only thing I did notice was when I was re-encoding video it was slow, but that was obvious so I just switched over to my video card for encoding. I don't think re-encoding is something everyone does. You should find a motherboard that has good protection. I'd say to avoid H motherboards but if you have no budget for Z, then just go for anniversary edition or something.
