  1. Just a another quick update, I those RDR2 results were tested on max settings with Vulkan, I get 100% utilisation almost constantly when using Direct X 12 and the FPS is slighly better but still no where near the results I should be getting.
  2. Attached benchmark results I tested via Borderlands 3 using the same settings on the benchmark here, Default detected automatically set all the settings to max (badass), the only thing i didn't change was resolution scaling. And somehow I am getting more FPS than the test results! (136 vs my 177) I am so very confused. Another thing I picked up in RDR2 my GPU is not maxing out its bouncing between 87% and 98% while my CPU utilization is hitting 3-6% on average and very rarily exceeds 10%. I hope some can help... 3. I retested Metro exodus enhanced edition and seem to be getting a slighly better result after the reseat: But I am still about 10 fps down over a stock card... When monitoring CPU ultilisation during the test as well it peaked at 12% but for only a second. 99% of the time it was bounching between 3% and 7%. Sorry to the multiple posts, just trying to provide as much info as possible.
  4. I also wanted to add that that I am using Quick CPU as my CPU monitoring tool and I also use it for the "max performance" preset, primarily to unpark my cores. I was using this prior to the new GPU and didnt have any issues with it there either. I was also going to say I am using the XMP profile for the RAM in my bios as well My ram being G.Skill Ripjaws V 32GB 3200MHz DDR4 (XMP ON). If you guys need any more info let me know
  5. Also when comparing my 3d score to other results with the same CPU and GPU, I am in the top 3 score wise https://www.3dmark.com/search#advanced?test=sw P&cpuId=2896&gpuId=1526&gpuCount=0&gpuType=ALL&deviceType=ALL&storageModel=ALL&memoryChannels=0&country=&scoreType=overallScore&hofMode=false&showInvalidResults=false&freeParams=&minGpuCoreClock=&maxGpuCoreClock=&minGpuMemClock=&maxGpuMemClock=&minCpuClock=&maxCpuClock= My name is FĬΞŇĐ in the list
  6. In terms of CPU temps the hottest my CPU gets is about 80c but again its summer in my country and it can get super hot. However I doubt the issue is with my CPU since I didn't have this problem or notice any issues on my previous GPU. Both the GPU and CPU are not showing any sighs of thermal throttling, as of this morning, I reseated the GPU since i noticed the "zbar" wasnt sitting in the correct position and corrected it, I followed the instructions as per XFX's instructional video on youtube. My 3d mark score is only slighly better then my previous post https://www.3dmark.com/sw/270695 When monitoring CPU utilization on the AMD overlay I am only using about 3% at the most 5% When i retested RDR2 I am still getting worse FPS than online tests: Should I wait for drivers or send the card back for testing?

  8. Greetings, Specs: CPU: Intel i7 12700KF (Stock) CPU COOLER: Scythe Fuma 2 GRAPHICS CARD: XFX Radeon RX 7900 XTX Merc 310 Black Speedster (3x separate 8 pin cables) RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws V 32GB 3200MHz DDR4 MOBO: Asus TUF GAMING Z690-PLUS D4 PSU: Superflower Leadex Platinum 1000W PRIMARY DISPLAY: Mecer K3G3R 31.5" 1440P 144Hz SECONDARY DISPLAY: BenQ XL2411Z 24" 1080P 144Hz SSD Samsung 960 EVO 500GB NVMe M.2 OS: Windows 11 Pro x64 When installing the new GPU I used DDU and installed the latest AMD drivers. My motherboard drivers and BIOS are fully up to date. BAR is enabled in the bios. I hope someone can assist here. I recently purchased a XFX RX 7900 XTX Merc 310 Black Speedster. I previously had a 1080 GTX Ti. While I definitely see an improvement over my previous GPU, When comparing to online benchmarks I am seeing a substantial difference in FPS. I also notice occasional Frame rate hitching and general FPS numbers being rather inconsistent. While I do run DDR4 3200mhz memory, I don't see how that would cause the performance drops I have seen when comparing to results online. My 3dMark Speedway test is below and seems to match "average" scores but my actual FPS in games is substantially worse in most titles. Also my cards temps don't seem to bad and my GPU junction's highest temp under 100% gpu load that I have seen is 82c but the weather has been very hot in my country lately about 38c. https://www.3dmark.com/sw/269346 Also when replicating the same benchmark in RDR2 I am almost 40 fps down (I get about average 120fps): https://www.kitguru.net/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/RDR2-768x768.png Metro Exodus Enhanced edition gives me similar "bad" fps stats as well: https://www.kitguru.net/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/DXRmetro2-768x768.png Is there something I am missing here? Also I don't see a 12700KF on DDR4 3200mhz RAM being a bottleneck for a 7900XTX. Any help or guidance would be appreciated.
  9. I havent seen any BS with the Gigabyte AORUS boards should I rather look into Gibabyte as Asus is to expensive?
  10. In regards to my interest in ASrock, I am mainly looking for reliability and lifespan in a motherboard I dont really care to much for features and overclock ability. If ASrock is not the way to go with this, any other board manufacturers I should look into instead? I am mainly interested in ASrock due to there price point and generally favorable reviews. Asus is to expensive for my blood and Ive heard dodgy things about MSI lately.
  11. As the title suggests I am researching a upgrade as well as motherboard manufactures for when DDR5 comes out and I have come across some very good deals through Asrock and was wondering if there products are good quality. I have never owned a Asrock motherboard before. When googling the same request I am seeing favorable reviews. I like the Asrock prices since they aren't as high as MSI or ASUS and still come with 3 year warranties. I have always bought MSI motherboards so I just want a second opinion here.
  12. I have been supplied with a slighter cheaper alternative to the build I had in mind originally: https://www.wootware.co.za/amd-100-100000063wof-ryzen-7-5800x-octa-core-3-8ghz-4-7ghz-boost-socket-am4-desktop-cpu.html?utm_source=inhouse&utm_medium=quotation&utm_content=QN39739 https://www.wootware.co.za/asrock-b550-steel-legend-amd-b550-ryzen-socket-am4-atx-desktop-motherboard.html?utm_source=inhouse&utm_medium=quotation&utm_content=QN39739 https://www.wootware.co.za/cooler-master-rr-212s-20pc-r1-hyper-212-rgb-black-edition-120mm-fan-cpu-cooler.html?utm_source=inhouse&utm_medium=quotation&utm_content=QN39739 Any advice on this build? I have been told it would be better for handling multicore/multithreaded situations over the Intel CPU i listed originally. Would the 5800X Ryzen be able to handle running a game, streaming that game and also running a dedicated server at the same time for said game? If not what kind of processor would I need to pull this off? Keep i mind that the game server I will be running for will be for 6-8 people, maximum being 10. I will not be hosting massive player number servers off my PC. Additionally I will only be streaming or hosting a dedicated server for the game I playing at that time. As soon as I stop playing the game the streaming stops and the dedicated server is shut down.
  13. Sorry should have mentioned I am actually going to be selling my 6700K to buy the upgrade. Also the ARMA3 server I will host will be at the most for 10 people but even 10 would be pushing it, most likely 5-6. This also goes for other games servers that I host, 10 people is mostly likely gonna be the maximum but more likely its gonna be half that (5-6).
