  1. I havent seen any BS with the Gigabyte AORUS boards should I rather look into Gibabyte as Asus is to expensive?
  2. In regards to my interest in ASrock, I am mainly looking for reliability and lifespan in a motherboard I dont really care to much for features and overclock ability. If ASrock is not the way to go with this, any other board manufacturers I should look into instead? I am mainly interested in ASrock due to there price point and generally favorable reviews. Asus is to expensive for my blood and Ive heard dodgy things about MSI lately.
  3. As the title suggests I am researching a upgrade as well as motherboard manufactures for when DDR5 comes out and I have come across some very good deals through Asrock and was wondering if there products are good quality. I have never owned a Asrock motherboard before. When googling the same request I am seeing favorable reviews. I like the Asrock prices since they aren't as high as MSI or ASUS and still come with 3 year warranties. I have always bought MSI motherboards so I just want a second opinion here.
  4. I have been supplied with a slighter cheaper alternative to the build I had in mind originally: https://www.wootware.co.za/amd-100-100000063wof-ryzen-7-5800x-octa-core-3-8ghz-4-7ghz-boost-socket-am4-desktop-cpu.html?utm_source=inhouse&utm_medium=quotation&utm_content=QN39739 https://www.wootware.co.za/asrock-b550-steel-legend-amd-b550-ryzen-socket-am4-atx-desktop-motherboard.html?utm_source=inhouse&utm_medium=quotation&utm_content=QN39739 https://www.wootware.co.za/cooler-master-rr-212s-20pc-r1-hyper-212-rgb-black-edition-120mm-fan-cpu-cooler
  5. Sorry should have mentioned I am actually going to be selling my 6700K to buy the upgrade. Also the ARMA3 server I will host will be at the most for 10 people but even 10 would be pushing it, most likely 5-6. This also goes for other games servers that I host, 10 people is mostly likely gonna be the maximum but more likely its gonna be half that (5-6).
  6. Budget (including currency): up to about R13000ish Currency: ZAR Website for order https://www.wootware.co.za/ Country: South Africa Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: I essentially need a new CPU since my current CPU (6700K) is getting to that age and I don't think it will be up to the task for my plans ahead. I want to use the new upgrade for gaming obviously but also game streaming for friends and additionally hosting a game server off my own PC while I play on my own server while streaming, if that makes sense.* Other details (existing parts lists, wheth
  7. Thanks for the posts. So generally speaking i should put the money to a new CPU upgrade? I mean the 6700K is getting pretty old now. I mean how much no longer does it have left? I wont be upgrading my GPU anytime soon though, its still a very good card. From what I have seen I wont need to upgrade my my RAM so all I will need is a new Mobo if i go with a 5800X
  8. Budget (including currency): ZAR R10000+ Country: South Africa Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Games/Game Server Hosting (Either via Listen servers or a dedicated server running on my PC. I will most likely join on my server when playing) Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Current build below. Current Build: CPU: Intel I7 6700K (XMP 4.2Ghz / 4.7Ghz @ 1.350V Max OC) CPU COOLER: Co
  9. Greetings All, I am thinking of getting a new headset with the idea of better sound quality and ive got my eye on the Arctis Pro. My current audio setup is as follows: HEADSET: SteelSeries Arctis 7 Gaming SPEAKERS: Creative A250 2.1 The speakers are connected to my onboard sound which is a standard Realtek High Definition Audio. Should i bother getting the GameDAC in addition to the headset, will it provide me with better sound quality? Will it improve the Arctis Pro's sound quality further? I am not an expert on sound quality or eq
  10. It seems the format and reinstall has done the trick. The stuttering and audio popping seems to have stopped. I guess when all else fails, format and reinstall lol
  11. I have performed a full reinstall of windows. So far everything looks good but Ill update in a few hours.
  12. In regards to my bios, I am already running the latest BIOS for my Mobo, not really comfortable reapplying the same bios. I was thinking about doing a fresh reinstall since I haven't actually performed a reinstall since i upgraded to windows 10 from 7, I have always performed Windows 10 resets and they always worked.
  13. I was thinking that might be the case but as I noted the issue only starts after 1-2 hours and fresh reboot always fixes it. I might try a fresh reinstall tonight If receive no additional suggestions.
  14. Greetings, When leaving my PC on for more than 1 to 2 hours or more , My PC starts to micro freeze, the freeze time is probably about a split second but when it occurs there is also a audible speaker pop (both on my headset and speakers). I have also noticed the longer the PC is on the more freezes occur. These freezes occur when idle in windows/watching a youtube video but also when playing games. This issue started on Friday (17th) after I performed a Windows update (KB4549951). Unfortunately I am unable to uninstall this update since I performed a disk cleanup after the update.
