  1. i'm not even sure that it is buggy. i think it's just the way it works what i assume what it does is. it takes the images 4per screen each has high resolution then stitches them together into a high quality raw format writes it to C: displays it and rinse and repeat. well i turned it off and send a message to the devs.
  2. well the the average price difference between the pro(4.0) and non pro(3.0) is 30ish$ for about double the read speed. but that is the only real benefit. a faster drive wont give you more FPS. they are both good drives as an example on my 980 Pro 1TB launching cyberpunk form clicking play to in game is under 30 Seconds. with the game on the SSD obviously. how much do you value your time? and how load screen heavy are the games you play. if there are many load screens highly probable in game slike the upcoming Starfield i would go for the pro becas load times will be very fast. but if it is open world like GTA the benefit is much smaller since you only have 1 load screen at the start.
  3. what is your use case? the main benefit is load times i have 2 980 Pros a 250GB for OS and a 1TB for games and they are blazing fast.
  4. ok i figured it out it and i could kick myself. it was my damn screensaver everytime it changes images it writes like half a gig of data combine that with it kicking in after 5 minutes and changing images every 10-20 seconds and my PC running 24/7 that escalated quickly.
  5. I will try that.my 980 pro game drive has only written 1.5TB in the same time hell my fist ssd is 11 years old and still going and has only 11TB. according to aida64 my PC has been running for almost 7 days and looking at HWinfo says it has written 6,2TB in that time. and that at only 85GB used.
  6. i already have my Download folder on a HDD. and when i look into Task Manager the only regular activities i see are system registry and chrome and the first to are at 0,1MB/s. and when it comes to background programs there isn't that much Rainmeter for a clock on my second screen. dual monitor tools for some functions and it changes wallpapers every 20 minutes. Aida64 for monitoring system information. Logitech gaming software for custom keys and makros. Asus AI suite 3 for fan control. the virtual memory is set by the system to about 5GB. is there a monitoring tool that i could just run and record the drives activity for maybe a few hours?
  7. Samsung magician shows the same number.
  8. i just looked at my C: drive in aida64 and it says that my samsung 980Pro has written 76TB in 46 days on time. anyone have an idea what could cause this?
  9. what about this? 90€ cheaper and no compatibility issues. I dropped the 3600 memory since there is no real benefit over 3200. swapped the 850W PSU for a 650W one the system only needs 400IshW could probably even drop it to 500W https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/V3tRgb and maybe consider swapping the HDD for one of these. assuming you want to use them as video storage. 4TB for 80€ https://de.pcpartpicker.com/product/9wVmP6/western-digital-wd-blue-4-tb-35-5400rpm-internal-hard-drive-wd40ezaz 6TB for 108€ https://de.pcpartpicker.com/product/Z2HRsY/western-digital-blue-6-tb-35-5400rpm-internal-hard-drive-wd60ezaz Oh and i also recommend double checking all the prices at geizhals.de since they list more shops.
  10. Fans stopping isn't necessarily a bad thing many/most modern systems lower/stop fan speed if the temperature is low enough. When I'm not gaming there isn't a single fan active in my PC. However, it is possible that you have an issue with your house power you could try getting a UPS that corrects the voltage. Or maybe there are some other potential sources of electric interference. Any cell towers, antennas or other major electrical systems in your area? Just as an experiment have you tried to use an extension cord to connect your PC to a downstairs outlet while placed upstairs? This way you could check if it is the outlet or maybe local EM interference. I know this sounds wild but these cases of haunted hardware are notoriously hard to figure out.
  11. They are not the same you can order single cables directly from EVGA the 6+2 is 6$. don't risk it even if they fit it can/will kill your hardware.
  12. Mine screams at every opportunity no power ReeeeeBeepReeeeeBeep to much power Reeeeeeee to little power Reeeeee with its 40dB fan. And i have a lot of under voltage when it's hot outside. It would probably also scream at overdraw but its 3000Va so it can handle 1800W. And i only have single PC connected.
  13. It depends on the UPS in case of a cheapo unit with no real software the answer is probably yes. Better units can give you a option to configure it however based on the unit beeping might not be the only issues some units also turn on a fan while active and they can be very loud. my recommendation conslöute the manual/ product information before you buy.
  14. The price for the 3080Ti that is listed on partpicker isn't correct. it's only 1149,99 when i go to the site directly. Also i have a gsync monitor. But 16GB of vram sounds nice have to think about it.
  15. For quad channel you need a compatible board and 4 identical modules. i have 4x4gb on my X99 rig. Unless it is some kind of wonky server hardware but i doubt it.
