  1. 3060 for longevity, 6600 XT for more and raw performance now. Wouldn't bother with 2060. Of course, if the price is allowing you.
  2. ^ This, unless you have GPU laying around that you can temporarily (aka a year or two) use in your new system.
  3. Why using static? They are bothersome in Unity and very inefficient. Try creating an instance of BCFC and use the script directly where ever you want. Also, why BFBC.instance? It doesn't do anything if the script isn't in the scene (ex, on a game manager object).
  4. Damn.... Couldn't resist and bought a Surface Pro 4 I7/16gb/512gb with pen/typecover/mouse for 15k HKD....

  5. Received an error code 0x0000225 when I was exiting the bios.
  6. Considered my drives dead, but would be very unfortunate that both my drives die at the same time. As far as virus, might caught up to something but I always stay away from shady stuff. Maybe an attempt to reinstall windows on my primary ssd. Would that be valid, before knowing the exact problem causing this? Atm I have a hard time even starting up a browser or any program really.
  7. Suddenly my computer starts taking a piss. In the morning my PC worked perfectly fine. As I noticed some programs were keep crashing, I decided to reboot my computer. This took over 3 minutes and I immediately saw that some programs didn't even launch at startup. Have tried restoring my computer to an older point, but somehow it got worse. Also, if I try opening the windows explorer, if I try to click on my 2nd drive, the explorer crashes and forces me to restart.
  8. Software engineering and occasionally making games in game engines.
  9. Next year looking to replace my lenovo y5100 for a new one since it's literally dying. Will the XPS 15 be sufficient to run Unreal Engine 4 ? Kind of outdated on the tech, any other recommendations perhaps.
  10. Buy any other laptop, I'll consider it as an upgrade.
  11. Unreal Engine 4? Thought the abbreviation was UE4 OT: Maybe a Lenovo Y700? I own the old-old-older brother of it the Y510p and it suits me well for programs like 3DSMAX, Unity 3D. But I didn't test it with unreal tho, might aswell install it and see if i'm able to run it. Anyway, the Y700 is built better than the 7559 and it has identical specs with the current gen, but it won't getting any updates ( i think ). Are you in a hurry to buy a new laptop ? Otherwise, wait for the 7559 update to get a bit more performance ( won't be a lot tho, expect 5-10% more than skylake ).
  12. What engine are you going to use?
