@Comic_Sans_MS not really concerned as to whether or not I should/could overclock right now. I can upgrade. @xGGAx I'll try it soon. As for CPU, I managed to monitor my CPU usage while it was occuring. None of the applications causes it to go 100%, it just does.

hihi I'm currently having issues with my PC and have been for a while until today which I can no longer tolerate. I have two issues: Windows 10 only PROPERLY boots when CPU is overclocked. When not overclocked, I boot into a black and screen have to reset until I get lucky enough to access windows. I got lucky with this finding and have settled with my overclock since. My CPU is spiking 100% usage when gaming. This started happening today. I've had this overclocked for a week already, stress tested for ~18 hours with no errors until today. Previously gaming with this overclock showed no issues. I've monitored temperatures, both GPU and CPU stable at 24C when idle and max ~62C when gaming CPU AMD FX 6300 Overclocked 4.2Ghz Motherboard ASRock 980DE3/U3S3 RAM 8GB DDR3 1866 GPU Sapphire HD 7950 Boost Case Fractal Design Core 2000 Storage OCZ 120GB SSD + 750GB HDD PSU Corsair VS550 Display(s) AOC E2070Swn Cooling Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo Keyboard Ducky Shine Zero Mouse Corsair M95 Sound Logitech G430

This may actually be the case. My dad surprised me with a CM Hyper 212 Evo because the stock cooler was really loud. So far, no shut downs. Will update after stress test is done. Update: Test is done. Guess the problem was the motherboard overheating. Thanks!

Unfortunately I don't. I'm thinking of using my friend's system, but he lives too far away and I don't have a car to get around.

Update: Ran a stress test for my CPU, pc shut itself down. I then replaced my GPU with an old one that I know works fine (with no power needed). Ran the test again, test completed with no issue. So now I guess that leaves with the problem being my PSU or my GPU. Know any way to test for my GPU or PSU? My pc can handle long hours fine. The problem is that if I do anything to stress it, it just shuts itself down.

Not that I know of, I'm a computer newbie and this is my first build. Know any common mobo issues I should look up regarding this?

I'll try that tonight My GPU isn't OC'ed, all speeds on default.

For quite a while my pc has been shutting itself down when I'm playing games. My initial thought was that my power supply was not strong enough to power my pc, but I read somewhere that I might have 2 audio drivers which could cause my pc to crash, which I did. I fixed it and for a while it worked fine. Then a few weeks later, it started shutting down again and I'm not confident that it's a power issue. Help?
