Why is older generation hardware so expensive?
Wizzl3Dizzle replied to Wizzl3Dizzle's topic in General Discussion
Its fine i just sold the board and i5 7600k i had for 160$ and bought a ryzen 5 3600 with asus b450 rog strix motherboard for 300$ from microcenter. -
Ok so my current rig will be listed below. I am having problems in some newer games currently like cod warzone, cyberpunk 2077 and some VR lag with my oculuas rift. I have a few options here to go with but my budget is 300$ What do you think would be the best option to go with? Current Build i5 7600k Gigabyte H270-Gaming 3 mobo 16gb Ram EVGA GTX 1070ti Option 1 Ryzen 5 2600x - 140$ ASUS B450-F ROG STRIX Gaming AMD AM4 ATX Motherboard -129$ Option 2 i7 7700k - 200$ Option 3 i7 6700k and z170 asus pro gaming ultra mobo $150

I have been looking high and low for a i7 7700k to replace the i5 7600k cause i need the hyperthreading for playing newer games. but everywhere i look they want over 200 for it! its like for 300 to 400 i could buy a 3rd gen ryzen and board.

I do have a gtx 1070 i could compare it too on the nvidia side and i also have a rx480 i could compare with for team red. Just wonder what games to benchmark. Lol no kidding! the king of gpu's back in the day. i remember seeing them in sli and was not disappointed!
