G-Sync only works on DP and will only work on Display Port which kind of makes it understandable.

This is sort of my first computer build. I first build this PC with some cheap parts and then I slowly upgraded this over time. Currently, this doesn't have an acrylic side panel which I might mod in later. I don't know if I will get around to modding this case so I just decided to post this now. The specs include: CPU: Intel core i7 3770 GPU: Galaxy GTX 770 HOF Case: Silverstone TJ08-E CPU Cooler: Corsair H75 MoBo: Asrock Pro4-M RAM: 4 x 4 1866 Corsair Dominator Platinum PSU: CX 600m HDD: WD Caviar Blue 1TB SSD: Kingston SSD Now V300 120gb http://imgur.com/a/LbgaG

The NH-U14s is king! The only problem is that your GPU will need to go on the second PCIE slot.

I guess I'll just order the bitfenix sleeved LEDs. They're thin enough to route around my case and 2m is the perfect length to reach all around.
-
I am looking for a 180mm white led fan. This will be at the front of my case, meaning that it will have to be fairly quiet as well. I would like some suggestions. All of the highly regarded fans either don't have LEDs or don't have white ones.

Scored a deal on 4 x 4 Dominator Platinums
frostytoast replied to frostytoast's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
One of the other photos had the things assembled. I was worried at first as well, but the one picture gave me some assurance. -
I was surfing eBay searching for Dominator Platinums because I wanted to see if I could score a good deal on a used kit and I think I got a good deal here. I purchased the kit for $160 USD and combined with the shipping, it was about $200. To my knowledge a kit like this would go for maybe $350-400 usually so I think I got a good deal out of it. I probably could have snagged the kit for less because I didn't technically 'win' the bid. Someone outbid me and won it however something came up and I got the deal. This was most likely the seller making a bid and trying to get some more money out of me. The good thing was that $160 was all that I was willing to bid on it so I stopped there and was generously rewarded. Let's just hope that everything else goes over smoothly. I also want to know if I actually did get a good deal on this because I am not too knowledgeable in this area.

Update: I don't think it could be the power. I ran a game without the GPU and the system crashed again however this time the screen doesn't freeze the image on the screen, it instead shows this weird combination of red blue and green. I am assuming that this is a problem with the CPU.
-
Nevermind, my PC still froze, it just happened later than it would otherwise.
-
I underclocked the GPU first since that was the easiest of all the options and that actually worked! It probably had to do with my PSU, but do you know if there is anything else which could cause this issue?

You could always get an FX-8350 which is fairly inexpensive and is just about as good as anything for gaming. It also has 8 cores which would work well with Mantle.
-
I just bought a new graphics card which is the GTX 770 and it works fine, however my computer freezes and plays a loud but short static-like noise after starting a game. My PSU is the Corsair CX 600m which is obviously a 600w PSU with the recommended 12v rail. I have also uninstalled all drivers and installed the Nvidia drivers, however that didn't seem to help.

I've finally decided to get the SilverStone TJ08-E and I love it so far!

You can still only fit a 160mm cpu cooler, and I don't think that I would be able to squeeze in the 165mm cooler that I have. I might have to go with the Arc Mini R2.
