Windows is dumb with a lot of things lol but I’ll run the iperf test when I get home and see if I’m able to run at 10g speeds, as for the raid 0 cache it was just for testing purposes I actually plan on getting an 128g m.2 for the cache I just had the ssd from some computers I’m trying to sell.
-
Oh thank you and sorry didn’t know that.
-
I’m writing straight to the ssd that are in raid 0 and the raid controller is just unraid software.

[GUIDE] LGA 771 Mod for Dell Vostro 220(s)
K1ngofportal replied to oskarha's topic in Guides and Tutorials
Hello, so I know this post is over a year old. But I've followed the steps and in the bios it shows my Xeon but once in Windows it only shows my old cpu E7500. Now I did the patch with the Xeon installed in the Mobo already. Idk if that matters. Edit: got it to work after some trouble shooting. Thank you for this post it was incredible help! -

Building my first server Have Questions.
K1ngofportal replied to K1ngofportal's topic in Servers, NAS, and Home Lab
okay thank you, -
Hello so im upgrading my WD mycloud 4tb single bay to a full intel i3 w/8g ram server (old pc i use to use). now i have chosen unraid for my os over freenas case i have played with both and im liking unraid more. so one of my questions is when using the LSI SAS9211-8i raid card do i have to flash it to IT mode if im using unriad? i know i would if i was using freenas. another question is when using unraid would i need 1g ram for each TB of storage like i would with freenas? this server would be used as a file system for my photos and Videos. Thanks in advance, K1ngofportal
