  1. For FPS you'd prefer an optical mouse (Deathadder, G400, CM Storm Spawn/Recon, Zowie AM/FK or Zowie EC1/2 Evo etc.) - What grip do you have? - Is your palm used to control the mouse? - Do you anchor your wrist, or move your whole arm? - What kind of mousepad do you have?
  2. What do you mean by old fashioned?
  3. Seeing as no one picked up on this (and I apparently missed this thread first time round), this isn't strange at all, other than maybe that they're on an iOne keyboard (Razer's OEM). You'll find these on any Costar-made boards, such as Filcos or Quickfire Rapids.
  4. It'll may well never exist. The additional sales from people who'd buy a green/green Trigger when a red/green Trigger's already available is probably too low to be worth the cost of mass producing a new product.
  5. Chances are it'll work fine for you, and if it doesn't Zowie will probably replace it, possibly with an Evo, because they tend to be awesome.
  6. http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1560268&page=2 It was mentioned in some other threads, but I went through about 10 different links (quickly) By the way, are you sure it's the EC1 and not the EC1 Evo?
  7. Just for future reference... Power button on your case Alt + F4 on desktop Alt + I on desktop then Power Charms menu > Settings > Power (I'm guessing you found this one) Ctrl+Alt+Del then icon on bottom-right Start > Sign out > icon on bottom right
  8. I haven't had a Zowie mouse personally, but they tend to give different results depending on DPI, mouse-pad used etc. From a quick look around the EC1 is best at 500 and 1000 DPI. I believe they also prefer a plain black mousepad, so your QCK should be fine.
  9. If you learn to type without bottoming out, linear switches will be quietest, but they'll still be louder than a membrane keyboard. If you have money to burn, look into topre silent switch keyboards.
  10. Should it be better? Yes. Will you have issues with it? Maybe. I love Zowie, but their mice can be finicky.
  11. The Deathadder only has an optical sensor...
  12. Ask before you buy. How much did you spend on the keyboard?
  13. Avoid the K90. If you've had mechanical keys for a year and you enjoy them, you wont want to go back to a keyboard with rubber domes now. Wait for the K70/K95 (do you really need the macros?). Also consider whether you're interested in a smaller form factor. Have you used the Blackwidow's keypad since you got it? Finally, when you say a bit tatty, what do you mean? Mechanical keyboards tend to benefit from a good clean now and then.
  14. Zowie or CM Storm, on the basis that they're trying to make the best products possible rather than selling mice on the basis of huge DPI numbers.
  15. Deathadder 2013 beats anything else mentioned in this thread so far. The Deathadder and Mamba use different sensors, of which the Deathadder's is better suited to FPS.
  16. If it was optical, I'd buy it. If only they'd shove the G400 sensor in there.
  17. I figure I'll also mention this, as a last-ditch effort. What you're looking for may well exist, but there's a lot of really obscure mechanical keyboards out there that most people have never heard of.
  18. Mice have mechanical switches, albeit their own kind of mousey ones.

    Good Usb Mic

I figure I'll mention, all the mics we're talking about are cardioid mics, so to use them properly you'll have to be practically making out with them to get the best results. They aren't microphones to be used feet away from your mouth.
  20. I don't think CM Storm make any full-size blue-backlit keyboards.
  21. As boring as I find recommendations of Ducky Shines, a Ducky Shine II might be your best bet. You'll have to set up the WASD lighting scheme yourself (it lets you create different lighting profiles), but otherwise I think it has everything but the USB hub and cheap price. That said, you might have trouble finding one. There's rumours (possibly more by now) of a Ducky Shine III on the horizon, so Shine IIs might have ceased production. Edit: If you can find the Qpad MK-80, that might have everything but the WASD lighting.
  22. I now know how long your password is. ...I don't suppose it's "Razer Blackwidow"?
  23. I was talking to the OP. You have a huge choice. Ducky Shine II, Max Nighthawk, CM Storm TK, Deck keyboard, KBT Pure, KBT Race, QPad MK-80...Just to name a few.
