  1. gaming and photoshop, However I like playing sim city, and coaster planet and want to get the new total war warhammer game. Ok yes, waiting does make perfect sense also. I suppose it's just not worth buying those things if you already have 1151 socket.
  2. Anyone got any idea on pricing, don't want to go above £700 for ram/mobo/cpu thank you
  3. my mate is telling me to wait for the new chips in oct. should I listen? lol
  4. Yes that's what I'm thinking too. if I was cloning from a backed up mechanical drive that was old and full of crap, a new install would be nice, and a new fresh install is nice anyway, but there is literally only what I need on this drive atm as it is. Been deleted crap for over a year tryna save the odd spare 3/4 gb, and there's nothing left now, it's dry as a bone. Easier to just transfer it.
  5. Yes, I've thought about that, but I can't source a new OS atm
  6. Ok so m Evo's pretty much at full capacity now, and I am getting a new SSD with more room, and, I want to go about cloning the current SSD onto the new one. I can just plug the new one into one of the sata ports and use samsung migration software to clone it?
  7. Is your desk bending? Looks brilliant apart from that
  8. Is this wise? I'm not sure I should be doing. I've just set it up now as my new case (corsair 240) is kinda tight and the RM850x only comes with cables with pigtails for VGA. It's a tight squeeze to run 2 separate cables so I've pigtailed one to the 2x8pins on the card, but I'm worried this might not be wise either? (Card is the R9 290 Sapphire)
  9. I previously had a G2, which is the PSU that broke. . . Urm. . . If I mount the case so the window is facing up will that resolve the lubricating issue? (thanks for the heads up) Also tbh, the fan doesn't really spin as I don't use my PC for anything more intensive than Photoshop and cities skylines. I plan to get a new HDD and play some better games than that, I'll keep an eye on the fan at full load.
  10. I was already aware of the issues of the case before buying it. I was looking forward to getting it prior to it's release, then after seeing reviews some things put me off. 30X30mm extra would have solved so many things. . . . I don't plan on upgrading anything else for the foreseeable future anyway so it's doing it's job. Infact it's even grown on me. It's nice to look at, and it's pretty silent considering. I needed a case that day see, well not so much a case but a working PC. Ofcourse fairly easy to build in in terms cable management (for obvious reasons) and my temps seem to be decent, no worse than the Define mini everything was previously crammed into. I would give it a 8/10.
  11. The Air 240. lol Actually I didn't intentionally want this case but was the only one they had in maplins that I'd consider. . . I thought the switch on my computer had broken so I bought a new case. Surprisingly it was cheaper in store than online. . . Anyway turns out it wasn't the switch, it was the PSU. So I got a new PSU too after I'd swapped everything over. RM850x. Before anyone tells me it's overkill for a single GPU (which I believe it is) it was either that or the 1000, so. . . I'll be ordering the braided cables this weekend as the squeeze is a bit tight.
  12. Does this help in photoshop? I work in Portrait A3 a lot, and was wondering if it helps much with the vertical screen real estate? Does anyone have any screen shots they can post with A3 portrait in PS using a 1440p monitor please? If I get one it will be that Dell Ultrasharp 27" IPS one.
