  1. Hello! My specs are as follows: CPU:AMD 5800x GPU: AMD Sapphire 7800XT Mobo: Asus Tuf X570 plus wi-fi RAM- 32gb (8x4) Corsair vengeance 3600mhz ram Storage: Samsung 950 EVO 1tb NVME SSD OS: Win 11 22621.2428 PSU: Evga 750BQ All of my drivers (windows, chipset, BIOS, Graphics etc.) are fully updated and this issue has been present in varying degrees ever since I have upgraded to my AMD card from my former GTX 1080. I have fully uninstalled Graphics drivers from my old 1080 using Display Driver Uninstaller, as well as done fresh installs of AMD's adrenaline drivers multiple times over (especially after the Anti-lag+ incident with cs2). Currently in-game settings are running as follows: Resolution: 1440x1080@280hz, 2x MSAA, High Shadows, and High shaders. Everything else was set to low or disabled As of right now I've gotten the issue to exhibit in multiple instances. I can't get it to specifically do one or the other crash, but I just know that doing anything grahpically intense in some instances will lead to this. Notably, this happens 9/10 times in cs2 premier mode or FaceIt, and I was running a furmark benchmark trying to diagnose the issue and I got a full system reboot into windows. When it happens in cs2, I will get a freeze with the audio continuing for a few seconds if I alt+tab back into the game, but will never actually display an image. I usually am able to use task manager to close the instance and thenr restart, but this issue has been plauging me for a while. I also experienced this running cyberpunk 2077 in fullscreen mode when I first installed it. I'm kind of at my wits end since I've been trying for hours to get this fixed, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
  2. Update: After trying a whole bunch of things, I have found that updating the bios and disabling global c-states in bios has helped to stop the crashing. Im not sure why, but specifically for the x570 platform i was on bios version 4021, but when looking at the asus website that version has now dissapeared with version 4022 taking its place. Im not sure why this is, but perhaps something relational to this has helped fixed my issue incase anyone is to stumble across this thread in the future.
  3. Hello everyone, For starters here are my specs: CPU: 3700x GPU: 1080 Gigabyte windforce Motherboard: Asus tuf x570 (bios ver. 4021) Storage: WD 500gb Nvme, 240gb sata SSD, 500gb hard drive PSU: evga 750bq Case: inwin 101 Now, formerly I was on the stock ryzen cooler, and I ordered a arctic freezer II 240 (using the revision 4 mount), and when I replaced the stock cooler, I noticed two things: For starters, my idle temperature seems to have gone up somewhat into the low 50 celcius range from before being in the 40's, but under load temperatures are better having dropped 10 degrees or so. I have remounted the cooler a few times, made sure that the spread on the thermal paste is good, (and that the screws are in the offset mount) and have reseated the RAM. When the PC crashes, it doesn't BSOD or anything like that, it just starts spitting out colors from the debugging LEDs in line with its normal booting procedure (first orange , then red, then white, then green) and just restarts as if all is normal. There is no indication as far as I can tell that anything I am doing on the computer is causing it in the windows enviroment. What I have tried doing so for: Disabling PBO in bios in case that was causing any wierd boosting issues clearing the CMOS Re-checking the physical motherboard connections to the PSU All in all I am a bit lost with this.. I normally am somewhat adept at building computers, and I wouldn't think that a CPU cooler change would cause all this. If you could give me any reccomendations or advice I would appreciate it! Edit: Few new things that I have tried and will see if there is any help: Reseating RAM/GPU Edit 2: Still no help, even after resetting to optimized reults defaults in bios. Im not sure anymore what it could be.
  4. assuming that you aren't playing competitve titles seriously (which I think is the case since you mentioned HL:A and warzone, can't speak for the other ones outside of how FPS would impact immersion), frame rate shouldn't really matter as long as you are able to hit the refresh rate of your screen. Going above that in my experience (mostly counter-strike) WILL give you a nice smoother feel to the game, but can just as easily be done by turning down settings here and there. You said that you are already experiencing some bottlenecking in games like warzone, which was the case for me as well, as I previously had a 6600k and got a used 1080 to pair with it. I would see that the bottlenecking would lead to worse framerates as well as more instability in newer titles, which led to a lot of crashing. I honestly would most likely reccomend neither of your original two choices and rather say get a ryzen chip that has a little more power to it in terms of core/thread count, which would open up the max potential of your graphics card. You're essentially judging your GPU's preformance while its in a system that is limiting its preformance and not giving it a chance to flex its power. While that is easy to say, I get that it would most likely be a big jump to switch platforms and get 3 new parts rather than just one if you were however dead set only one of the two options you listed, I'd say just get the monitor so you can experience how nice 144/240hz is, even if you aren't always hitting it (although I will say on a higher refresh rate high frame rate varience feels more jarring, but that is depending on the game). Getting a graphics card that is nicer, even if its a 20 series would get seriously bottlenecked by that old CPU, meaning that you would still have the same instability issues that you had before.
  5. I already have all the items excluding CPU and heatsink
  6. Im not really familiar with monitors as much, but would this system be able to play csgo at a constant 200-300fps, since its not very difficult to run, aswell as record 1080p60fps smoothly off shadowplay(i do a bit of youtube :D) with some other games like warframe, overwatch,etc...? thanks for the help. 11. So, im trying to decide my new mouse, and im really into csgo. I am trying to decide between the Zowie FK1, Final mouse 2016, or the mionix caster. My main concern is if they have fully adjustable DPI, or at least a dpi button so i can change it to my dpi now, to make the transition smoother any help would be appreciated!
  12. im assuming it would be a glitch, should try to call and see, or try to get a price match on another store so you might actually get it for 9.99
