  1. I know Linus has mentioned creating a fast as possible on ray tracing previously but that was a couple of weeks ago. Would love to see one soon, maybe to accompany a 2080 review!
  2. Can you post the results? I like data from surveys like this. It can be anonymous. Just fancy graphs and charts. Thanks.

  4. That's a pretty hefty cooler. Make sure the memory is low enough to fit under the cooler. Looks pretty good. Make sure you install your OS on the SSD for fast boot times
  5. So just wondering, how does LTT use the Windows "Test Drives" that they use with all of their systems? EDIT: A quick search on the site yeilded this topic: Link
  6. If i change the motherboard in a system that had windows 7 on it will it still work? I'm assuming that i would need to boot into safe mode and install all of the correct drivers, but other than that would it work?
  7. Ya know my friend had a similar problem where his gpu kept crashing. He fixed it by uninstalling a game called blade symphony. Im not shure if you have that game or if that fix will even work just thought it was worth mentioning.
  8. Well now im reconsidering. I just saw that the Fury is bundled with a free copy of Battlefront and that game looks really good... hmmm
  9. Yeah i can see that but im kinda a nvidia guy myself. I also plan to overclock it a bit.
  10. Thank you so much for the advice! Yeah i think im going to go for a 980 Strix and in the future get a better display. So my final build is: i7 4770 (stock cooler) C70 Case Asus Z-97-A GTX 980 Strix Corsair cs850m 8GB DDR3 2x 1TB WD total cost: about $900 Thank you again for the advice! (just as i side note since i wanted to really future proof this build my plans for upgrading in the coming years is to upgrade the cpu and the cpu cooler for overclocking and more ram)
  11. Current Rig: Alienware, GTX 670, 8GB RAM, 1TB, i7 4770 (im trying to move away from alienware) Display: 2 x 1080p 23 inches Why 980ti? Im getting a 980ti because i wanted it to last me along time and i wanted a strong graphics card
  12. So im building a new computer and im asking for the parts for Christmas My plan to build a new computer is im going to take the CPU (i7 4770) , the ram (8 GB) and the 1TB hard drive out of my current computer and put it into a new system. I've checked that the motherboard im buying is a LGA1150 so the CPU will fit. The rest of the parts that im going to buy new are as follows: Corsair C70 Case (Black) 980 Ti Gigabyte Windforce (GV-N98TWF3OC-6GD) Asus Z97-A/USB 3.1 WD Black 1TB So i have three questions: Does this build look good? What voltage do i need for a power supply? (i was thinking about 800 because of the power hungry 980 ti) In your opinion do i need an optical drive? Heres the questions for a plan: Budget? Anywhere below 1500. Aim? To play high end games on at least high (Im not planing on overclocking my cpu) Monitors? 2 x 1080p Peripherals? I have all the peripherals i need but i will need to buy windows Why? My Graphics card is outdated and i cant upgrade it since i have an alienware EDIT: Changed my mind. Going to get a 980 Strix.
  13. I bet its a fake. Costs to much to have a fire pole installed just for the heck of it.
