  1. Hello All, I have a m.2 SSD on the way and I would like to know if anybody has had any luck cloning an HDD to it and making it bootable. I want to be able to 1. install ssd in addition to the hard drive 2. clone the hdd to the ssd 3. make the m.2 ssd bootable (sata III interface) 4. format the hdd 5. keep everything working If you have had experience with this. Please chime in on the best way to do this.
  2. Cool feature add-on. I have been using shadowplay to monitor my games when optimizing my graphics. I would highly recommend it. The recording quality in Shadowplay is also excellent. I highly recommend it if you are using a supported GPU.
  3. Don't forget to wear your copper thigh pad pants.
  4. Hello All! I am going to make this my intro post as well. I heard about this site through the linustechtips YouTube channel. This is my first personal build in 7 years and I am extremely happy with the gaming performance.I have been playing current gen games like Far Cry 4, Dragon Age Inquisition and Assasin's Creed Unity at max res with good frame rates. The only reason I did not go with an unlocked processor is I got this one really cheap. I will probably upgrade to an unlocked Broadwell or Haswell once Broadwell is released and shows me what it has to offer. This system is set up to dual boot windows 8.1 and mac os x Yosemite. I added the h60 after having th build for a couple weeks. I was not pleased with the perforrmance of the stock cooler. The MSI z97 gaming 5 is a great board and I would recommend it to anyone. The bios is great, it looks fantastic and it has everything that I need. The corsair vengeance 2400 ram is another thing I would recommend to anyone. After loading the XMP profile in the BIOS, this ram clocks itself to 2400mhz and is blazingly fast. I chose the samsung 840 evo SSD simply bacause of the negative reviews of all other SSD's in this price range. The 2 1tb HDD were pulled out of my old build. The EVGA gtx 970 SC was picked after weeks of careful research. Unfortunately I have had to rma the first 2 I got for different issues. The one I have in my system now runs perfectly. If you are going to go with evga for this GPU, i would highly recommend the FTW edition. The heatsink/heatpipe design of the FTW edition is superior. The case I upgraded a couple weeks after my initial build. I like it because it is not too big and it will fit everything I need in my system. The wireless card was chosen because it works with mac os. This is system is setup in my living room hooked up to a 60" vizio ledtv using a wireless Xbox 360 controller and a wireless logitech keyboard mouse combo.
