  1. How is the durability though? I've heard people saying that their switches break or the LEDs stop working. Is that a user thing or does it seem like it could happen?
  2. Hi guys, I know there are probably hundreds of these threads floating around, but I wanted to hear some more opinions. I'm replacing my mechanical 60% keyboard with a full sized one and currently I like the looks of the G710+. But, for just a little more I could get a K70 RGB, and daaaaang that's a good looking keyboard. I've heard that there are quality issues with them, and I've also heard that they're really good. My favorite switch cherry browns, and I'm really light on my key presses, so if it's just a fault with people who go ham on their keyboard, that doesn't sound like an issue that I would have. But I'd love to hear some experience from people who own this keyboard or owned it in the past. Good and bad are welcome! I want to know if this is a purchase worth making!
  3. I have a couple of stories. In high school I had a "friend" who claimed his computer was the fastest because it's so heavy. I think he claimed 30 pounds or something. He would never believe me that 1) how do you even get a pc that heavy and 2) weight != performance I sold computers at Best Buy. I would try to point people into more decent computers (I *hated* selling anything we had below $600). I was clear to them that most of our "budget" laptops are complete garbage. But this story is about a travelling business woman. She wanted a chromebook. Why, I have no clue. Chromebooks are kind of neat as something to play around with or check your email super fast but are in no way work computers. I had to sell it to her because she wouldn't listen to me when I told her that she'd want more (why buy a $700 Asus when you can get a $200 chromebook amirite?). Then she wanted a mouse; fine mice are great. NO LASER, IT MUST BE ROLLER BALL she said. IT MUST BE WIRED she said. She went on to explain that lasers will cause cancer and wireless mice degrade brainwaves. This coming from a woman that will not work without a wifi signal. Oh, and a little PSA: NEVER EVER BUY GEEKSQUAD PROTECTION IT IS CRAP
  4. I'm typing this on my mini. I love it! But... I'm looking for a new keyboard because of it's difficulty to do a lot of functions. I know most of them are here, and I do use them, but after about 6 months I'm making the return to the full keyboard. I'm keeping my ducky forever though. It's a cute little keyboard and wonderfully portable.
  5. oh, wow that's something I hadn't thought of. I probably won't end up using it but it can't hurt to have.
  6. Hello guys! This is my first actual post here, but I was hoping for some opinions. I want/"need" a new mechanical keyboard. I have a keyboard with blue switches now, but they're too loud to use at night and not particularly fun to game with. I've narrowed my search to to keyboards, both about $100 on Amazon: the Razer Blackwidow Ultimate Stealth, and the Logitech G710+. I am familiar with the differences in switches and have "used" both keyboards in the past (while i worked at Best Buy). I like them both very much. So my question is what anyone's experience with these keyboards has been, or any thoughts about them. Thank you very much! (Also, if my posting habits can be improved in any way, please do not hesitate to offer advice)

  8. I actually just joined to get my tiny shot at this. I'm a poor college student looking to build an enthusiast grade PC and this would be an appreciable upgrade to what I can afford and lighten the impact of the build.
