  1. Hey all, I have a problem with my laptop, it's a Toshiba l50-b-19q. When I press the power button it turns on but the screen stays black, when I use the HDMI output it says no signal. The HDD does spin up and the fan seems to work like normal. When I press the num lock or caps lock key the LEDs for the respective key does not light up. I assume that the problem is a dead GPU but I'm not sure, I have confirmed that the HDD functions, do you guys have any idea what the problem may be? Sincerely, D148xZ
  2. When browsing my temps are around 50c, with gta V it goes up to 60-70c.
  3. I bought an HP Omen 15 dc0051nr a couple of months ago, it was a bit loud during regular use so I decided to download Intel Xtu and reduce the voltage by 0.160 v. After this the temps went down drastically but the sound from the fans at idle were still quite annoying, I decided to go into the bios and turn off: fan always on. This setting allowes the fan to shut off completely if the cpu or gpu is under 50c. Now my question: Is 45-50c a healthy idle temperature for an i7-8750h + gtx 1060? Thank you for your time.

  8. I have to choose between tow hdd's to fill up my last sata slot. Choice 1: A 500gb Baracuda 7200RPM hdd which has been in a Cisco 8485DVB television record box for 4 years, hasn't moved and hasn't overheated. It has been on for 31576 hours and was powered up 26 times, built in 2014. Choice 2: A 320gb Baracuda 7200RPM hdd which has been in a PC, hasn't overheated. It has been on for 3679 hours and was powered up 1830 times, built in 2008 Which hdd should I choose and why? (I already have both)
  9. Bought it used for €27 a few months ago, was quite a gamble, original seller thought it was broken. It performs a lot better than the gtx750 ti , comparable to a rx 460 and is comparable to a r7 370 or when overclocked, it's a relatively unknown and unpopular card so on my local used site there are almost no listings.
  10. So I have a AMD r7 265, it has served me well but recently I came across another one of these cards for €40,- is crossfire worth it in this instance or should I just buy a newer better gpu. Cpu is an i5 4460. I have a 550w psu so power draw is no issue.
  11. An intel nuc would also be kind of a cool option, they're newer, cheaper, smaller and performs better in almost every way.
  12. If you're not doing anything but typing and watching video it'll do just fine.
  13. For that kind of money you can buy one heck of a pc. You pay for the looks so why not get a nice monitor and buy like a cheap core 2 duo laptop mac and connect that to it, you can watch video's on that too and it's portable.
