  1. Got a very specific problem here. Back when VR was relatively new I decided to spend some money that I had saved up to buy a vive and an MSI VR One backpack. I absolutely love it. Not having cords and a long battery life is awesome. However, I have run into an issue. Because after turning the computer on a primary monitor is not plugged into the computer I can't use nvidia shadow play to record game play footage. I can start up shadowplay but as soon as i unplug the monitor, it freezes. What I need is a good way to fake a monitor so that I can record game play footage. My current solution is to buy a wireless hdmi extender, but that solution seems janky, expensive, and may not work since i would have to also use a minidiplayport to hdmi adapter also. Any suggestions or alternatives?
  2. also really like this one but it lacks passthrough http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=&sku=686585&gclid=CKaZwpyx9MUCFVKPHwod6rgAbg&Q=&is=REG&A=details
  3. Hey guys, I am currently in the market for a gaming capture card that is capable of recording 1080p @60 fps while having a passthrough. I would like to have component, composite, and hdmi connections if possible. The closest I have been able to find is the Avermedia CV710 (http://www.amazon.com/AVerMedia-Recorder-CV710-ExtremeCap-U3/dp/B00G9QTUVE) but that lacks an hdmi passthrough which is rather annoying. Anyone know of any cards that meet my criteria?
  4. Yeah dual cores do (such as my laptop) no desktop processors though i believe
  5. Ok, this is probably pointless but have you checked your power lead to your gpu and made sure it is plugged all the way in? One time I somehow managed to have my power connection only halfway plugged in which cased my gpu to not work.
  6. Idk about asus, but for msi you have to flash the cmos when you switch display ports ( or maybe this is just when you install a new gpu) anyway try a cmos flash, cant hurt
  7. Yeah i have a 780 atm and a planning on sli'ing to try and get most games maxed at nearly 144hz I am an nvidia fanboy so i plan to stick with them
  8. Hey guys need an opinion, I am looking to get a 144hz 1440p monitor for my gaming rig which gives me two choices, the BenQ XL2730z or the ASUS PG278q. The difference between the two is that the Asus has G-sync (and costs $200 more) and the Benq doesnt. What are your guys opinions of g-sync?
  9. If your going to be playing in a dorm and want to hang with people get an xbox one, most pc games dont bother with multiplayer on one console.
  10. OK so I just restarted my computer and disabled EVERYTHING that was not neccassary to the function of the pc and now im getting a score of 1791? does that seem right? Also, now my temps are registering as 70ish degrees so it seems one of my background processes isnt playing well with the nvidia drivers! Unigine_Heaven_Benchmark_4.0_20150314_0017.html
  11. Cooler master storm stryker, I love this case http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119260
  12. I have 6 fans in this system pulling air constantly, and it's in a large case, that might explain it? but yeah it does seem odd
