  1. I am looking to purchase a new monitor soon and have decided on a Acer Preditor x34 or x35 but need some advise on which is better choice. The x34 has a IPS panel but max refresh of 100Hz. The z35 has an VA panel out of the box 144Hz but can OC to 200Hz. Here is what I am curretly working with as my custom build which I am using a 40'' Visio TV as monitor and hit between 58-63Fps Case: NZXT Phantom 820 Gunmetal Grey CPU: Intel Core I7 5960X Overclocked to 4.5 Ghz @ 1.35v Ram: G Skill Ripjaws 2133Mhz Overclocked to 2400Mhz @ 1.35v Timings 13-14-13-37 Motherboard: Asus Sabertooth X99 PSU: EVGA Supernova G2 1600w Modular Graphics: 2 Asus GTX 970 Strix in SLI 1400 Boost clock @ 1210mV, 8000Mhz Memory Clock, Power target 120% Drives: Ø Intel 750 series 400Gb SSD Boot drive Ø Mushkin Reactor 1Tb SSD programs and games Ø Crucial 512Gb SSD programs and games Ø WD 2Tb Green HDD Lighting: NZXT HUE+ & Case preinstalled lighting Fan Control: NZXT Grid V2 and built in controller Fans: Ø 4 200 mm blue LED case fans 2 intakes 2 exhaust Ø 4 140 mm Blue LED case fans 2 intakes 2 exhaust Ø 1 120 mm Blue LED case fan Ø 2 Hyper X RAM coolers Blue LED CPU Cooler: NZXT X61 AIO Liquid cooler Audio: Creative Soundblaster Zx card OS: Windows 10 Pro 64 bit I would love some feedback to help my decision
  2. Hi Linus, I have been following this channel and several other tech channels, some you have been on as well.I am a PC tech and enthusiast, gamer and I am always looking for insight from others in the PC community to make me a better system builder and also continue leaning to grow in my career path as well. I have a couple of questions that I thought you could enlighten me on. My current system consists of NZXT Phantom 820 case, NZXT Kraken AIO, Asus Sabertooth X99, Core i7 5960X OC to 4.5Ghz @ 1.35 V, 64 Gb Gskill Ripjaws RAM 2133, Asus Strix GTX 970 in SLI OC to Boost clock 1400 Mhz, Memory Clock 7310 Mhz, Crucial MX 500 SSD 512 Gb, WD 1 Tb black HDD, WD 2TB Green. SSD is for Windows 10, Black HDD programs, Green HDD storage. First I have tried to OC memory but no XMP profiles I can drop the timings but not get past the 2133 MHZ running and stock voltage is that my problem? Second I have been considering upgrading to a Intel 750 SSD for boot drive and a Mushkin Reactor 1 Tb SSD for my programs and games. Then using my 512 SSD as a backup to write to for a RAM disk. I have also thought of replacing RAM with some 2800 MHz. I would appreciate your feedback
