  1. Alright, thanks for the replys. I think I'm gonna go for the Ad700x's and maybe try out the fiio amp later on.
  2. I'm looking for an upgrade from my turtle beach x12's in terms of sound quality and comfort. I used to have x12's and I didn't really like the sound or the mic and it was pretty uncomfortable, but it was pretty good for gaming and ok for music, but I'm pretty sure when I get something better I'll think that they sounded horrible for music. My hair would often get caught in the cracks in the headset and it would be really irritating. My chair wheel recently went over the cable and all of a sudden the volume is extremely low and the volume wheel does nothing. I'm sort of half glad they broke as now I have an excuse to buy a new set of headphones. I want the best overall sound quality and comfort possible under my budget (in title). I'm a really big audio noob, hence coming from a cheap gaming headset, so don't ask if I am looking for mids, lows, etc. because I honestly have no clue. I've been looking at the Audio Technica ATH-M50 as a lot of people say it's the best sound for the price, but some people say that it's uncomfortable and comfort is really important to me so please give me suggestions for headphones. Thank you.
  3. Keyboard - Corsair K70 if you can spend 30 bucks more or wait for it to get on sale Mouse - Corsair M40. it will also look good with the K70 as they have same logo. Mousmat - If you want it to match peripherals then get mm200 or mm400 depending on which you prefer.
  4. Any rubber dome keyboard will be pretty quite, I recommend the Logitech G105 if you don't need anything too flashy and the Corsair K50 or Logitech G510 if you care for the extra features and are willing to pay the cost. If you want mechanical, you can go with any switch besides blue and should probably also get o-rings. I would recommend a K70 of your switch preference(except blue obviously) and get some o-rings for them and if you don't like the look of the k70 then I'd go for a ducky with o-rings. The G710+ is also a good option but I personally hate the look of it, but if you like it then it comes pre installed with o-rings and isn't too expensive.
  5. I highly recommend the Corsair M40 as it has a nice, precise, optical sensor and has a lightweight, high quality plastic body instead of the M65 which is way too heavy, even with all the weights removed IMO. It has red LED's on the logo where you put your palm and on the scroll wheel I think.
  6. On almost all popular titles SLI is pretty well optimized and will have at least 35-40% scaling which is good for me. The only issue I see is that games aren't gonna be very well optimized on release but I don't think the wait would be too bad as you can still play the game using one card. I would go for the SLI as it has really good bang for buck.
  7. My Logitech G500's scroll wheel is very loud. Spinning the scroll wheel very fast when it's on clicky mode is almost as loud as spamming the left or right click, and those two buttons are also loud compared to other mice's left and right buttons.
  8. You need to go hold one in person to actually know if it will work for you. Personally the shape is uncomfortable for me, and I have small-medium-ish hands.
  9. Who cares if it's intended use is for typing. I almost 100% guarantee you won't find a difference in gaming when using a blue keyboard to using any other switch.
  10. I personally think the K70 and the K95 are the best looking boards on the market and who needs more than 20 key roll over anyway?
  11. I would go for something like a Corsair 600+ watt, something like the TX750 so you have a little bit of headroom for another upgrade.
  12. That probably means that you have crazy negative air pressure which is theoretically bad for dust build up inside your case. If you have 10 fans for pushing air then I would make 6 of them intake and 4 of them exhaust.
  13. The switch doesn't look like it has any physical damage so I think I'm just gonna have to contact Corsair and ask them to replace or fix it. Thanks for the reply.
  14. So I got this K70 about 2 months ago and it's been working perfectly until now. About an hour ago the 3 key started acting up. I have to hold down the key for 5 seconds for the key to actuate and I was wondering what I should do. Any suggestions?
  15. I would probably compare the M40 to the 400s instead of the M65 because the M65 is optical while both the M40 and 400s are optical. If it were between the M40 and 400s I'd probably go for the 400s because I like the shape better.
