  1. It depends on the headphones. I've had to buy the same ear buds three times (radiopaq jazz) and I can definitely say they need a relatively quick (6 hours) burn in before they sound like they should.
  2. No love for lurkers
  3. Why? It's impossible to put an LED right there since that's where the mechanical part is.
  4. Just set the appropriate software to output a stereo signal. I've used that same interface for recording (mono) but I can hear myself in stereo with the program I use (Adobe Audition).
  5. That GPU is not even worth the power it demands. If you manage to get a used 7770, you'll have a crap ton more of performance for just a bit more of money.
  6. I wasn't limiting the GPU via software in any way. In fact, I was actually a bit mad because I couldn't ever reach 60 FPS, unless you count "look at a wall when there's no people around" as a valid result for "it reaches 60 FPS". I did try lowering the graphic options, and it did literally nothing for my FPS, but I could go from ~30% gpu use to ~70% with everything at max. 1080p. I know it's a very, very specific case, but it's the only true intensive AAA game I have on steam. I've tried Batman Arkham City as well, that one is more bound to GPU. And BF3 runs "fine", until you get to some close combat and then you stutter. Average FPS is 50+, but there's stutter.
  7. idk, I got 100% cpu usage in Hitman Absolution with barely 70% on the GPU. And the GPU is an R9 270x, which isn't exactly top tier.
  8. Did you increase VRIN/VCCIN/Whatever it's called in your mobo that usually starts at 1.8V?
  9. Check your motherboard, there's usually a setting for that. Ironically enough, in mine you have to "disable" said setting to enable the USB ports on shutdown.
  10. That game isn't CPU intensive in any way, I played that on my laptop with a 2410M and a GT525M, only dipping to 30's sometimes with some water reflections and particle effects.
  11. I'm a proud owner of a G3258. It won't cut it in most AAA games. I know that, I've come to accept that. It won't cut it in multithreaded applications, and that includes something as simple as having a powerful game and alt-tabbing to check a messaging client of your choice and check a wiki on your browser. I was hitting 100% CPU in Hitman Absolution, with around 60 or so percent on the GPU. I really love my CPU, but if you want to do anything while you're gaming I wouldn't recommend. AND, if you want to play the upcoming AAA titles, I wouldn't recommend it either. The main problem the Pentium has are minimum framerates, it's not uncommon to simply drop to 20 FPS or even freeze for a second sometimes. In my case, I simply want a gaming rig that will be used solely for gaming, not streaming, not rendering, and I will play (right now) "old" games since I'me somewhat new to pc gaming and I still have to catch up. After that, I'll upgrade to an i5.
  12. They did the exact same thing for Demon's Souls.
  13. Worth mentioning: every chip is different. You'll see how, in reviews, people get awesome clock speeds at really low voltages, but that doesn't mean your chip will perform as well, it might very well need a lot more voltage to get the same clock speed.
  14. Uh, I should give mine a try. I remember cranking it to 1120MHz because other manufacturers (ASUS?) set that as default clock as opposed to 1070 on the Sapphire.
