  1. I figured the software was having an issue detecting that half of the threads were "virtual" because it was not developed for AMD's SMT feature. Does Intel have this same issue with HT? I know the storing of the incidental four core CPU should change if the CPU were to change, I 100% agree with you on that.
  2. So devs are to build games for the future hardware that is not available to them? Anyways, give Ryzen some time to mature as there might be some nice surprises.
  3. I got mine up to a whopping 65Hz, 70Hz messed it up... then I went back to 60Hz. I don't trust changing parameters when I don't have knowledge of the hardware capabilities. I did mine through AMD's Catalyst/Crimson software.
  4. Stubborn =/= awful... mostly. Man was he stubborn, but I like to think the forums were more interesting with him around. His ego would not let him be proven wrong. He was not a bad guy, not with any interaction I had with him. The first time I argued with him, I kept calling him "Mr. Masters of Computer Science"... he was formally trained as an engineer of sorts.
  5. Honestly, I would do the 7700 + B250 board over the 7600K + Z270 board. Threads are nice to have when you need them.

  10. Everyone gets a Fiat! http://www.fiatusa.com/500e.html I like these little things, IDK why. They are so tiny, but not Smart Car tiny.
  11. That motherboard might not work with that CPU. The H110 chipset needs a BIOS updated to Kabylake specifications. If it is not updated, you just bought a paperweight. You need a working CPU to update the BIOS, and an updated BIOS to run the CPU. The motherboard will not support the features of the 7600K, or the 3000MHz RAM. You are wasting money on that CPU. A 7500 will do fine. You just downgraded a good amount on the CPU side, while managing to spend more. The BeQuiet PureRock is a much better cooler, worth the $10. https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/cwPzK8/be-quiet-cpu-cooler-bk009 ..or this one for the same price: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/hyQRsY/be-quiet-pure-rock-slim-351-cfm-cpu-cooler-bk008 This one is under $20: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/JHV48d/deepcool-cpu-cooler-gammaxx300 Also, a 120mm fan for a front intake will be beneficial.

  16. I get scared with that argument. I think there is enough to provide energy for decades upon decades to come. I would rather we try to move away from it anyways.
  17. "Cleaner", not "clean"; Moving in the right direction, not ignoring the evidence. Read below,, or above... I have no problem with a responsible nuclear program producing the needed energy. Nuclear is a very compelling option, I have no problem with it... most people would not. Well said to the rest.
  18. Note the Seasonic M12ii 520W power supply for $50. Geeez, that is a good deal. It was $64 last year at the best of times and that was a great deal.
  19. The case is very basic, but it will hold all your parts and comes with a fan. If you put in another $40, you can get a really nice case: NZXT S340, or a Phanteks P400, or a Phanteks Enthoo Pro M, maybe a Fractal Design (depending on the prices). ...or take that same $40 and get a 2x8GB kit of RAM.... 2400MHz for this motherboard.
