  1. Thanks for me telling me. Its actually in the release notes as well. I should of checked the AMD website before I decided to re install windows wasted half an hour of my time.
  2. Thank you for all the answers. I have bought the graphics card.
  3. Thanks I just don't wanna run into compatibility issues.
  4. I was thinking about purchasing the sapphire Nitro+ RX 480 4gb model which can be found here: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/sapphire-radeon-rx-480-nitro-4096mb-gddr5-pci-express-rgb-graphics-card-gx-37d-sp.html#comments would I be making the correct decision in doing so. Do I also need to update my bios before I install a new graphics card? I'm on haswell refresh btw. Thanks
  5. That doesn't have volume controls nor does it have power/sleep buttons dam it.
  6. That's out of my budget unfortunately I can spend £20 max.
  7. I have been using the Logitech k260 wireless keyboard and mouse for the past five years. However yesterday for the first ever time gave me problems. Whenever I attempt to type something on the screen it doesn't work but when I press a certain button on the keyboard it put my computer to sleep. And when I press the power button on my computer to wake it up again it says that the display driver stopped working then my PC goes back to sleep then it repeats. I know it is definitely the keyboard because I tried on a different computer and that didn't work. I also took out the battery of the keyboard to make sure that it is not the mouse. I have a budget of £20 for a new keyboard maximum. I don't use a keyboard and mouse to play games I tend to use a controller for that. I looked at some reviews for some keyboards and they were ridiculously. I'm not spending £100 on a keyboard which is outrageous. Anyways I have a £20 budget for a new keyboard but I would like it to have hot keys such as power/sleep volume up and down. Thanks
  8. Just had a quick look at the prices of the fury x that seems to be going any where from £400 to £500.
  9. I was actually going to buy a 970 earlier in the year but I started to read about the Pascal architecture so I waited for that to be released. I was expecting the 1070 to be roughly £300 but it turns out the gtx 1060 is priced around the £300 mark. Five months later I'm stuck on a gtx 660 still. My question is when will the price of the gtx 1070 reduce?
  10. I am looking to buy a new graphics card and my budget is roughly around the £250 mark. I have a 1080p 144hz monitor. I did some research and found these prices for graphics card: Rx 480 4gb model= £180 8gb model= £220 Gtx 970= £200 Gtx 980= £300 R9 390x= £270 R9 390= £220 Gtx 1060= £300 These are the prices roughly in the UK for these graphics cards. These prices are taken from google, ebuyer, amazon, ebay, scan computers for new products. The gtx 970, r9 390 and the x as well as the gtx 980 these prices are taken from ebay only as used products. The gtx 1060 is on par with the 970 and the rx 480 however the gtx 980 and the r9 390x out performs both. I was originally gonna purchase a 1070 but thats like over £400 for a decent one. I don't expect the 1070 price to be dropping anytime soon. I think the price of the 1070 is gonna go up in the christmas period. I have a i5 4460 as my cpu btw. I'm confused on what to do.
  11. It isn't difficult to get good tech it is just you have to look online. You do have Pc world, currys, argos and maplin but they are aimed at the average consumer and cost higher in comparison to online. There was also comet but that closed down. There are a few good stores in the UK like Scan computers but you will have to travel long distances or if your really lucky to live next to one.
  12. If Nvidia's claim about the performances of the 1080 and the 1070 are true you probably won't need to overclock it.
  13. I just had a quick look on ebay turns out you were right. The announcement of pascal have made the current gpu prices drop dramatically.
