  1. I reapplied thermal paste which helped a bit. I also manually cranked up the fans just to see what would happen (for some reason they were only on at 48% speed) and that helped significantly. However during similar scenarios my computer still rebooted even though gpu temp was about 52c
  2. Lately while playing games I've noticed my graphics card (zotac gtx 970) constantly slowly climb to about 80c and then my PC shuts off. I've never had a problem with this for the 3 years I've had my system so I have a feeling its the thermal paste on my GPU however I can't be sure yet. I've updated all my drivers, removed all dust from my system and even reinstalled windows but nothings helped, in fact I think it's only gotten worse
  3. I have tried, however it does not do much to my windows folder
  4. I was trying to free up space on my SSD today and while I was using WinDirStat I noticed my Windows folder is 50.8 GB I think the problem is my installer folder is 25 GB Anything I can do to clean this up? Can I delete the folder or the files within somehow?
  5. KOVA CAUSE ITS FREE
  6. internet connection is fine, all PCs are connected to the same network. Did you have to do anything with Homegroup?
  7. I recently decided to refurbish an old pc by using it as a simple media server. So I threw a bunch of movies, songs and tv shows into a folder and mapped it as a network drive. I even changed the share properties to everyone however the only pc that can see that folder as a networked drive is the PC that's hosting it. Is there something else I have to do to make it visible? The drive letters arent overlapping with any other NAS
  8. yes, the operating system is 64bit, the computer came prebuilt so it wouldnt make sense for dell to build a pc with 6gb of ram and install a 32bit os
  9. My friend has a Dell XPS studio 9100 which should have 6gb of memory installed. But when he goes to task manager it only says 4GB. So he busted open his pc to try and test his ram to see which one is at fault. The memory is in 3x2gb triple channel set up and when he took out each piece of ram and put one in to test, the computer didnt recognize it and made 2 beeps. He tried almost every combination of ram but every time he powered on he got 2 beeps on startup. The mobo is an intel x58 chipset with a core i7-930 and a geforece g310 gpu with 3x2gb sticks of ram how could it be that after taking out the ram and replacing them that all the modules are broken? is it a mobo problem?

  12. I had the non RGB version of the M65 of that mouse and IMHO, I wasn't a fan. I have sort of a claw/fingertip hybrid grip and I think that mouse is designed for a palm grip, so the sniper and macro buttons were out of my reach. I also found both the left and right to be quite sensitive, and sometimes found myself accidentally clicking the right mouse button just from the weight of my hand. And compared to the right and left mouse buttons, the middle mouse click was much more difficult to click. After about a weeks use, I did get a lot more used to it but I just didn't enjoy the uneven "sensitivities" of the buttons. Obviously, the majority of my problems were because my grip just didn't work with the mouse but other than that I think it's a decent mouse. Nothing to say about the Razer Deathadder though
  13. Ok, so i've been monitoring my temps and everything seems to be fine there. I also ran furmarks stress test and temps maxed out at 80. I did a clean install of the nvidia driver, and still getting the problem
  14. Hello everyone, here's my problem. A little while ago I started playing Skyrim, and of course, I right away installed some graphics mods. But after some time of playing, the game would freeze and i would get some buzzing sound or the sound would continue to play but the game would be frozen and I couldnt ctrl alt delete out, or do anything. Sometimes the game would recover, other times it would not. So, I uninstalled the mods, and the white squares never returned. Recently, I have been playing DayZ and the problem has reoccurred Here are my specs: Windows 8.1 64 bit i5 4690k 8gb 2133 ddr3 memory Thermaltake 750w psu Zotac GTX 970 Also, an error here's an error message I just got after DayZ froze "Display driver NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver, Version 344.75 stopped responding and has successfully recovered." Edit: This white square freezing glitch also seems to start happening after I open my inventory, or something like that in both Skyrim and DayZ
