  2. Burns as in my flash or no VRM heatsinks
  3. I wasnt planning to do a heavy oc anyways, maybe light to mid oc. Will have a look at OC genie to see how to get the best results once i get a aftermarket cooler. I do wish AMD had a newer architecture.
  4. Would I be able to get a decent oc if I had a liquid cooler?
  5. I've seen someone get that cpu to 4.5Ghz on this mobo
  6. Thats as good as I could go. it comes with OC genie so ill see how far i can go
  7. Yeah Luke uses foam to store his video cards
  8. Today I built a pc to replace my Toshiba Satellite L750 which had a sandy bridge mobile i5 and gt 525m and 4GB of ram. Now i have a machine that is great for gaming and editing. This was my firs time building. Here are the specs AMD FX 8320. It was in my budget, can OC (will do later once I get an aftermarket CPU cooler), has 8 cores for $199. I havent got it yet actually, the store was oiut of stock. Will get on tuesday after easter. ASUS Geforce GTX 960 Strix, quiet, power efficient, and a 1080P delight, it fitted my budget and looks great. GOt it for $297 MSI 970A-G43, AM3+, fits my budget, has nice front panel connector location (there was and asrock board that didnt for the same price), and looks nice. 2x4GB Kingston Hyper X fury memory. Got it because well, its memory and this was cheap. Sandisk Ultra Plus 128GB. My dad was going to put this in his laptop but he couldnt quite work it out so using it for my pc. WD Blue 1TB. Not much to say. NZXT S340. Looks great, cable management is simple, and has a nice psu shroud. Fractal Design Tesla R2 650W White. Got a good deal for it and it has 0 RPM mode and 80Plus Gold TP LInk Archer T2U 802.11ac dongle. Can't use ethernet so have to use wifi. What do you think. PLease let me know
  9. Please note this article is an April Fools Joke. Jason Christian, product manager for keyboards and mice, has today announced the Corsair Vengeance M63MM RGB Gaming Mouse. He explains how our keyboards are mechanical, but mice are limited to optical and laser sensors. This mouse is a mechanical mouse, a ball mouse made of Corsair Boron Infused Graphene, or BIG and has and "insane DPI of 450. They made it by taking and M65 RGB, then "carefully" take out the sensor, and then you put a ball in it. Don't forget. the M in M63MM is for mechanical!
  10. If you can afford all this than its fine. If you are just gaming you can go with something much less. I would put it towards something else that you might want to save up for. Also if you are spending that much I'd say get better peripherals, maybe cherry mx keyboard like a g710+ and audiophile headphones and blue yeti
  11. Im building a new pc soon and getting a anti static strap. Can I attach that to anything metal eg Parts tray?
  12. It's ment to be for professionals like the Performance MX the predescessor to this mouse. I have a mouse that is similar to this but smaller, the MX Marathon
  13. Nope its actually an advantage since you are getting the pro version.
  14. Personally I wish Intel released a version without an igpu. Most people dont need it and i would much rather save money on something i will never use. Because the cut down cache and frequency isnt something i would want in favor for not having an iGPU
  15. The 5770K is the 5775C. The c means Overclockable
  16. Unfortunately it will only work with 9 series boards.
  17. with the givaway can you choose what you want?
  18. With the vessel thing is there exclusive content on there or is it the exact same as youtube
  19. Honestly, gamer's delight. With the CPU on render central there will only be an advantage of editing. On the GPU gamers delight there is the advantage on both gaming and editing.
  20. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2MLc7PThis imo is a better balanced build. I ditched the 980 for a 970 ( 290X is an option aswell) and managed to put in an i7 and 16GB of ram. Seeing that you will be video rendering 16GB will help more than that 980> You are also saving an extra $100. Maybe buy a bigger ssd or more memory or better cooler or mech keyboard, its up to you.
  21. Also another tip is getting windows student which is alot cheaper than windows 8 normally
  22. I was thinking maybe a 6300 and a GTX 970. Or same cpu but with GTX 960 and ssd
