so.. a belgian political party got under some serious fire when they put an ultra-orthodox jew on their voting list, because for religious reasons he doesnt shake womens' hands, out of "respect" for women.
i have a suggestion, we should pass a law that dictates when a politician lacks some very basic principles like treating women equally, they get shot on sight. you cant handle belgium's extremely complex political situation if you cannot compute the difference between shaking a woman's hand and cheating on your wife.

Not just the politician lacking the principles, but also the ones that started this whole mess. This whole thing was clearly a very short-sighted attempt to get the entire Jewish community in Antwerp to vote for CD&V so that Peeters would stand a chance against our current major.
Hell, even the Jewish community thought it was a bad idea.

i mean.. when talking bad ideas.. its obviously an amazing idea to get an orthodox jew into a political party which historically has catholic roots..

unfortunately, i'm afraid that that's just what its gonna turn into, its only going to be orthodox jews, muslims, and other similar population groups.
not because these groups are the problem, but because thats where the rotten apples currently are. i would love the idea of "cancelling out" these rotten apples to prove that these population groups really arent as bad as some media would like you to believe.
