  1. Yeah I looked at Sonos before but they seem pretty damn expensive, also it's so many steps to manage you audio with the bridge, the amp, the speakers, the app... I'm just looking for wireless speakers that I can connect to a PC and then use the PC to manage all of these things, it makes it so much easier then doing it the Sonos way.
  2. Yeah that's what I've heard, but wouldn't it be possible to link a set of speakers and connect it to the PC, then use a PC as a medium for managing the speakers. I would use Wifi if it seems to not have a lag issue.
  3. Ok so I put some more thoughts into this. What if I just got a bunch of speakers, connected them to a PC via Wifi / Bluetooth, then use a app to manage the speakers. So I could basically make profiles for the rooms with speakers. For example: I could set a profile for living room and then only those speakers would play. Then I could set the profile to bedroom and only those speakers would play music.
  4. Thanks for all the suggestions! I'll do some more research on the items. I had one more question, is there a limit to how many speakers I could connect with Bluetooth / Wifi?
  5. Hey guys, so I wanted to help my step sister by giving her some cool suggestions for her and her fiance's new house. I have a rough idea in my head of what I would want to do, but any suggestions would be helpful. So here's the setup I was thinking: - HTPC setup with Bluetooth - Connect multiple speakers via Bluetooth ( like 10 or so speakers ) and set them up around the house - Connect to the PC via a tablet and play music from the PC or what ever it is they want to use - (optional) Be able to connect your phone/tablet through the Bluetooth of the PC and use the PC as a gateway to the speakers and play music off their phones. So basically I have the PC hardware down, but what I need to know is it possible to connect that many speakers together via Bluetooth and would the quality be decent? Also where would I look for speakers like these? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
  6. Here is my submission. Like everyone else, I would suggest save up to at least $700 just because it'll last longer and you can get a better quality items. I left the keyboard and mouse out because I feel that's a preference thing. If you want to add a monitor + mouse and keyboard I would guess at least another $100 or so. Cart Item List: Qty. 7. I am currently running a 128GB SSD and a 1TB HDD. SSD for OS and games and the HDD for storage. I'm only entering this competition because about a month ago my HD started making this funny noise and I know for a fact the connecter is super glued on. Anyways, here is my submission. https://www.facebook.com/regardt.kapp/posts/10201514972372519 https://twitter.com/RegardtKapp/status/375074516906422272
  8. I have a couple of extra keys left from the humble bundle and I am willing to trade all of them for one Microsoft Office 2010 key. I need at least Word, Excel and Powerpoint in the package. Games I have: - Burnout Paradise - Crysis 2 Maximum Edition - Mirror's Edge - Battlefield 3 These are all Origin keys. We can trade the keys through PM, please don't post the key on this thread.
  9. I tried connecting to your server, just got stuck on the connecting page. Am I connecting right? -Start game -Multiplayer -Copy address in Host:Port box I wasn't sure if this was the right way or not.
  10. They do have a Roku but they want to move it to the bedroom, problem is my dad likes to watch F1 and the Roku doesn't allow 50fps streaming and with F1 it's a big deal, makes the panning shots very choppy.
  11. Ok thanks for clarifying that for me. I'll definitely run this build through with my dad.
  12. I was taking a look at this build, I had one question, would that PSU fit into that case? As far as I can tell that is an ATX PSU. Also the RAM on the board is dual channel, so I need at least 2 sticks of memory, if I recall correctly.
  13. Yeah is cheap for what you get, but the cheaper it is, the more likely my dad will consider it. I'll try PCPartPicker, the only reason I went with Newegg is because it was just more convenient. I honestly don't see the need for SSD speed, I'd rather have more storage capabilities. I chose AMD just because I know them better than Intel, plus I like the APU, but if you can give me a better build for around the same price then let me know, I'd be really interested to see.
  14. Hey guys I am looking for a build for a HTPC for my parents, they want to stop our cable subscription and move to a Netflix / Hulu / etc service. This is the build I was thinking, but I feel it could be a little cheaper: Cart Item List: Qty. I was thinking about changing the CPU to dual core but I don't know if the money is worth the speed drop. This build is a mini ITX build, however I would consider an ATX if it's in a similar size, as long as the PC fits in our TV stand. So please take a look at the build and tell me what you think, if you have a better build feel free to share it with me. P.S. I used Newegg and I got this list buy just emailing it to my self then coping and pasting it here.
  15. This is what I feel like with the best Buy thing going on. Bought 9 games so far, I ain't even mad.
  16. I'm sure their IT manager is going crazy right now with the server traffic. xD
  17. You beat me to it. It's completely legit!
  18. Thanks for the suggestion. Looks like a good product, I've always loved their HDD's. But sadly, as I was about to tell my parents they were on their way to go and buy something. Sigh, anyways, I appreciate the help. :)
  19. Hey guys, so my dad is looking for something to connect to his TV so he can watch Netflix and such. Now I suggested I built him a HTPC, but he said he doesn't want anything too expensive. So I'd like to hear from you guys what you think is a good option. I did come across the Android TV box, is that any good?
  20. Definitely the Logitech G27. The G27 is think includes the pedals and the gear shifter though.
  21. Common papa needs some new toys! ;) https://www.facebook.com/regardt.kapp/posts/10200910138172042 https://twitter.com/RegardtKapp/status/342115021339361280 I liked their Facebook group and browsed some of their system builds, some of their builds look really cool. I suggest you guys check em out if you haven't yet.
  22. New i7? Yes please! :D https://www.facebook.com/regardt.kapp?hc_location=stream https://twitter.com/RegardtKapp
  23. Awesomesauce! Many thanks to the guys at HTC for making this happen and of course a big hug to the Linus Media Group. :D Le Facebook share: https://www.facebook.com/regardt.kapp?ref=flnm
  24. I would go with the 660 just because the OC headroom is more. So that means if you want to OC you have more range with a higher stock spec card.
  25. Ah seems it was IE crashing. Joys of using a PC at school. :)
