  1. I was transfering files to a USB drive from my secondary SSD. The transfer apparently crashed (speed dropped to 0 and MB remaining wasn't moving for a few hours). So I canceled the transfer. But now when I open File Explorer and attempt to click on anything it crashes right away. Can't open any of my drives or any folder. Coincidentally Google Chrome won't open now either. I restarted my PC at an attempt to fix the issue, no luck. It's a ryzen 5800X3D system on the latest version of Windows 11. If anyone can help I would be thankful.
  2. My drives are mounted properly with rubber mounts. I think they are just loud overall, just them spinning on idle is the loudest thing is the case.
  3. I've bought an HDD power switch from Amazon that has buttons to turn off power to individual HDDs because I'm tired of hearing my 3 secondary HDDs spin up for no reason when not in use. My question is, is there anything I need to do before powering off an HDD while my PC is running? For example to disable the HDD in device manager or something like that. Thanks! Here's the power switch for reference: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B08CF493QF/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apan_glt_i_D3YZ94V8N80PZE26E4SX
  4. Thanks for the info, I will try what you've said.
  5. I have the Zyxel EMG2926-Q10A as a primary router at home. I have my PC wired to it since it's very close. I also have another PC and a few devices far away in the living room and I want them to have a wired connection. I found a decent router (D-Link DIR-880L) lying around in storage and thought If I could place the 2nd router near the living room and run ONE wire from the Zyxel to the D-Link and then my other devices can be wired to the D-Link. It worked well with not much hassle, but when I checked the network speed on the living room PC, it was only showing 100 Mbit/s. Is there anything I am doing wrong? Thanks P.S. I have a Ethernet cable about 57 Feet long plugged to a LAN port on the Zyxel and on the other end to the WAN (Internet) port on the D-Link. And my living room devices are connected to the LAN ports on the D-Link.

    Case Fan Config

My bad i shoulda specified theres are 2 fans on the front of the case blowing air inside, though they're pushing air through an HDD cage.

    Case Fan Config

I have a single tower CPU cooler, is it bad to have this fan configuration and orientation? if so, what should I change?
  10. So i picked up the HIFIMAN HE-400I and i was wondering what would be better to drive them properly. An audio interface like the Focusrite SCARLETT SOLO 3RD GEN for example, or would any DAC/AMP combo with similar or lesser price perform better. if a DAC/AMP performs similarly i think i would stick with the Scarlett solo. Thoughts?
  11. ill be watching closely, since it might be what shifts my interest into a 1080ti.
