  1. Here it is, working and fully bleeded of air bubbles. I have some supplies coming in to do the side panel, after that it'll only some details here and there. I'm liking the idle temps
  2. The orchestra version of "To Zanarkand" from FFX is nothing short of epic
  3. This is my first real "custom" PC and my first loop. Good luck on your build, there is no secret or magic, take your time, read and watch videos on the subject, i did it and so can you. Its not perfect, there are plenty of details that bugs me, but as they say: practice makes perfect. It can only get better from here and i intend to
  4. Here it is with the vinyl, filled up and POST'ing. Have to extend the pump rpm wire and sleeve the pump wires but its finally progressing.
  5. Quick update, got the fittings and new ball-valve, went with Bitspower, which actually seal. The vinyl came in too, so i'm starting to wrap the plexi, should look pretty clean.
  6. Progress! Well, still waiting on some parts, but at least i moved on to the leak test with distilled water. Had two hiccups at first, those 90° Darkside fittings don't play nice with the EK D5 pump top. Also the ball valve(Darkside again...) isn't watertight when closed, defeating the purpose. Suggestions for a quality one? Those two issues aside, went pretty smooth. I like the noise, or lack thereof, of the D5 pump
  7. Sorry if that sounded harsh, i guess it did. This is beside the whole conversation, the W16 has staggered banks of pistons, in the same vein of VW/AUDI VR6 engines, a very narrow V angle on a single head. The Audi W12 is basically 2 VR6's heads in a V, single block with a single crankshaft. The W16 is the same idea but lengthened, so no, it is not two V8, whether they'd be side by side or end to end.
  8. Thanks, i'm really happy about how it turned out
  9. Did a little work while i'm waiting for some small parts to get here. The drain is nearly done except for the male-male fitting still missing. Exiting right under the case, should make maintenance easier. I know the drain is a bit high on the loop but i hope to be able to get the level low enough to do gpu/cpu swaps. The EVGA bridge used is a leftover from previous setup when the cards were actually EVGA It also IMO the best looking, although the silver isn't matching anymore, some satin black fixed that.
  10. Here's some pictures of the hardlines, i must say that working PETG is easier than i imagined. I ordered WAY too much tubing thinking i'd scrap some, turns out only one needs to be redone because of an unsightly kink in a bend, otherwise it went smooth. Must say, for a very first custom loop, i'm damn proud of the result.
  11. Fab is the right word indeed, heres what i've been working on. Drain setup hidden with a bulkhead. On the other side there'll be a ball valve and a drain port drilled throught the bottom of the case. Also, a little sneak peak of the lines
  12. I always loved clean hardlines, reminds me of some shops with perfectly laid out and bent conduits on the wall, there is something elegant about it. So hardline it is, after some research i settled for PETG in 10/12mm. I debated for a while about the fluid, the build components are very mono-chrome, all black, silver, chrome and clear. Wanted something to brighten it up a bit, but didn't like the idea of not liking the effect of a particular color and the possibility of having stained residue when switching. So after a while i stumbled on what appears the be my happy medium that should looks pretty awesome, Feser One UV clear fluid. This is something i'm really looking forward to see in full effect. Enough blabbering, more progress, starting with some waterblock action
  13. I'll start right off with that until now this wasn't intended to be documented, so the pictures aren't amazing. But seeing the progress and how its is shaping, i might as well do a log... English isn't my first language, so don't expect a novel, i'll keep this short and to the point. Right then, most of the hardware i'm using was already in use in my up-to-now rig, this will be mostly a new case and custom watercooling. Specs as they were: - Asus X99-A - I7-5820K - 4x 8gb G.Skill DDR4 2400 - 2x Gigabyte G1 Gaming 980TI - EVGA G2 1000W PSU - NZXT Kraken X61 - NZXT Phantom 530 - Samsung 850 EVO 250gb and 1tb Even if it was perfectly fine, the two 980TI's pushed quite a bit of heat and the looks weren't up to my tastes. So the hunt for the "perfect" case for my needs begun. Wanted something very subtle and classy, no flashy colors or shapes, that could handle enough radiator space for everything. Ideally at a reasonable price point, Caselabs are super nice, but the price tag is a bit off-putting. Enter the Phanteks Enthoo Primo, not perfect, but it ticks most boxes and the remaining can be solved. So it began... First round of order: That's what the case looks like gutted The plan is a driveless and cageless look, 480 rads in push-pull up top and bottom, so some modding is necessary. What was the drive area needs to be covered and at the same time will act as a support for the pump/reservoir combo and the SSD's will be mounted on the back side later down the road. The panel is built out of plexiglass and will be covered in a satin black vinyl to match the case later. To be continued...
  14. The promo codes are broken, you aren't alone, tons in the tech forums, i'm waiting for it to be fixed too. http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/954224-Pre-Loaded-last-night-Today-quot-Has-not-been-released-yet-quot?s=dc783180270c51d3de305466fa3251e7 http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/953974-Uplay-still-says-quot-Preordered-quot-won-t-let-me-play?s=dc783180270c51d3de305466fa3251e7
