  1. Yea I don't know. What resolution and refresh rate are you running?
  2. I mean, it should work fine if you put both of them on GEN3. Go ahead and test your card out and see if that fixed the issue with FPS. As far as the Legacy boot, I don't know. I haven't done this in a while. I guess it's fine to leave it on UEFI. Just whenever troubleshooting, I like to run it on Legacy as UEFI does have issues on its own.
  3. Don't confuse the PCI for the M.2 drive for the GPU PCI-e
  4. Why wouldn't you be able too? Unless your mobo is dying, then yes, you should be able to get visual output.
  5. Turn off auto and set it manually. It's fine to put it on PCI-e 3. But before doing that, go ahead and set it manually for PCI-e 4 and work your way down.
  6. Seems to signal to me that the mobo is the issue here. Turn off UEFI mode and turn on Legacy mode. Go into your BIOS setting and check to see if the GPU is detected. Also check to see if the PCI-e has the correct settings. You can even mess with it as in, changing it from Gen4 to Gen3 and see if that'll make a difference.
  7. Ah shoot. I'm sorry, I think I know what the problem is. You're running R7 3800x, not a 5000 series. The upgrade is for the 5000 series. If you weren't running it, should of left it alone. If you have another older board that supports the 3000 series, are you able to test it? If you can, reseat your GPU, check cables, turn off monitor settings that can cause stutter to the FPS, make sure everything is placed properly and latched.
  8. Check the version of your Bios. There are newer updates that was released recently to fix issues regarding PCI slots and USB.
  9. Upgrade your BIOS. This smells like a PCI-e being out of date. When flashing your mobo, make sure you follow the motherboard instructions. Most instruct that you remove all components to the mobo before flashing it. Make sure your computer isn't on balanced mode and is running performance mode to draw enough power.
  10. No. Seasonic Focus model are not outstanding. There are better option for that price point, EVGA. Tomhardware did a review on the Focus model and it doesn't hold as you think it does. There's a reason why it's only worth $115. The Prime model holds up and keeps to the Seasonic name, but Focus is lackluster. You would go Seasonic over Corsair RMx? Lol. K, be my guest. Corsair RMx is top tier PSU. For $20 more, you're investing in a top tier PSU that will last you for future builds. Seasonic Focus + is not on par with the RMx model.
  11. I don't trust any of those repair man for the life of me. How do you know if he didn't replace your good GPU for a real burned one. You never leave your PC with those guys, ever. You can always just bring the parts in suspect individually, but don't bring your entire PC. If you registered your GPU, go online to see the SKU number to see if it matches the one in your PC that you registered.
  12. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/yZJG9N You can get the R7 5800x for $300 on ebay. I just added to the list to make it look complete. The total cost is under $2,000. If I were you, I'll buy a better PSU, the Corsair RMx (2021) for $135.
  13. You're in luck. https://pcpartpicker.com/product/VgQG3C/corsair-rmx-2018-850w-80-gold-certified-fully-modular-atx-power-supply-cp-9020180-na?history_days=180 The Corsair RM 850 Gold+ is on sale for $115. It's a great pick and compete with mid-tier to high-tier PSU.
  14. It's pretty awful. But still an upgrade. Could of done a lot better for a better value. But as far for PSU. You can go with the Enermax 850watts for $110
  15. @the diadDo not do this. It's not "fine" to run the daisy chained cables. They are not rated for your GPU. I've brick my GPU as well in due time by doing this. Not only did I brick my GPU, I brick my mobo with it. Run separate cables rated for the GPU, period.
  16. Here's the 3060 setup that falls into your budget at $1483.81 (substract) if you sold the 1660-super for $383 to $500. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/CDLqj2 With this, you have yourself a great 1440p 144hz gaming rig.
  17. I redid your build. I think you'll like mines better. It's up-to-date, lower than your budget range at $828.73 (entire build) + $250 (gpu) Total of $1,078.73 USD The one thing you can replace will be the GPU in the future. Everything else is up-to-date with a Gen4 M.2 drive at 1TB. I kept your PSU at 850w +Gold for future reference in mind, incase you ever want to upgrade from the 1660 to a 3080 or the new Lovelace in the future from nVidia which draws about 500watts to 550watts. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/vChdZZ **Now if you want** You can add a 3060 TI nVidia into your rig and still be in budget range. I'll remove the R5 5600x for R3 3300x, sell your 1660 super on ebay for premium. Use whatever left over in your budget + what you sold on 1660 super to buy a RTX 3060. Reduce 1TB to 500GB Reduce memory to slower clocks at 3200 for 16 latency Reduce 850watts PSU to 650 PSU (don't recommend, you want to keep this for future builds)
  18. $800!? To get a new card even though your under warranty? Then they want to tell you to downgrade for 'FREE' to a 2070 when they could reimburse you for downgrading. What a joke. What company is this? I'll know to avoid next time. Also, if you have to pay $800 to upgrade to a 2080, go with the 2070 brand new. Don't open it, and resell it on e-bay. Take that profit try to get a 3060 ti, and pay the small difference.
  19. Given my years in crypto, 98% it's the devs who stole it, or the devs in charge of the assets. It's usually always a team member. The runaway to all of this is, "We got hacked." That's how they can get away with the stolen fund. Usually happens during bear markets when they realize crypto will start crashing 90% - 98% and they want to secure the money for themselves before the big crash. You hardly see it during bullrun because they're just riding the wave before they pull the plug.
  20. No. 3080 hands down. All this talk about FSR it's bonkers. FSR will be enabled for the 3080, even down to the 1000's nVidia GPU series. The 3080 can make use of all FSR games including DLSS games (AMD can't.) In terms of FPS wise, 6900 XT wins, but only slightly. Nvidia still owns the market in terms of a more powerful GPU, although AMD is catching up (but quite not there yet.) There 6900 XT series card just feels like a re-used 5000 series imo. I might also be biased because I've had bad experiences with AMD cards, except for the RX 570.
  21. Can't future proof the Ryzen if they're going PCI-e 5. Remove the Ryzen 5 3600, and go with the Ryzen 7 5800x Get a cheaper motherboard, b550. Get a cheaper ram stick that is better than the g.skill in terms of cache and clocks. Go with a 3070-ti for $1,200 USD Get rid of the 1TB Samsung 870 SATA and replace it with a Western Digital M.2 1TB. (It's cheaper and faster) Get a Planteks 360A case. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/YG6PZZ Total in USD $2,125.05 kr 267862.55
  22. I went to the store today to try to see it in person, funny enough. lol. I couldn't find any G7 Samsung, but I saw the 1080P version and it looked beautiful. I saw the 27GP83B model, which is exactly the same as the 27GP850 model and I couldn't believe how much more crisp the Samsung was, even at 1080P. I've already ordered the 27GP850 hastily, sadly. Should of waited and I probably would of went the G7 route. Seems to be a better experience.
  23. I changed a couple of things around. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/YmWjdD I don't see why you're using a 1070 as placer until GPU drop because there's no definitely that'll drop. Even if it did drop back down to MSRP, how much are you still losing/gaining using the 1070 as placeholder? Lets say you were able to re-sell that 1070 for a small profit and 3070 drops back down to $800. You're still spending roughly $1,000 if you bought it at $800 and resold the 1070 for $200. I listed the 3070 TI instead of the 3070 as it's roughly $1,200 which is roughly same price the 3070 is selling for atm. I changed the ram for a Ballistix as they are also 3600 and 16, but cheaper than the one you currently have. I also know they are dual rank, as for the ram you have, I don't know if it's dual rank or single rank. I replaced the cooler for a better cooler as AMD Ryzen chip runs hot. Especially if you're rendering and going to make sure of the cores, wouldn't want to skip out on that. I replaced your Asus motherboard for a lower quality and cheaper Gigabyte B550. It has the same features, and motherboard doesn't last. Buying a more expensive one for 'gaming' preference is just not worth it if a cheaper value can do the same job for cheaper and can be easily replaced in 3-4 years. The value comes out to about $2,517 USD
  24. I can't decide between these two monitors. I don't care too much about the refresh rate. I care more about visual and being immersed in the game or movie. I'll be playing more MMO than I would FPS, but I don't want to skip out of a balanced monitor either where I can run some competitive games. Running a RTX-3080 and trying to figure out which of these monitor will give me the best visual while still being a great monitor for casual FPS games.
