The KOVA black would be awesome... my old R.A.T is slowly dying >.<
  3. Wow what a wall of text ^^ So let’s get started: Mobo could be changed to a MSI X99S SLI PLUS just a suggestion since I don’t use the 2011-v3 platform. One of my concerns would be power, if you use two 290x and a hex core that will be very close to 750W max power draw without ram, fan and mobo chipset. Probably you would run safer with a 1000W PSU Greez Ryx
  4. but it looks sooo nice in my rig ;-)
  5. Ok Thanks for all the comments. Going to use the 4790K used it for some other builds as well but there was a lower price limit of something around 1.5k Build will still not be cheap because of some fancy components... but I know he is going to like it Edit: https://www.digitec.ch/de/ShopList/Show?shopListId=D4E0B4DA1D9269729959031DBC6C9EFD
  6. I am building this system for a friend his budget is about CHF 2k up to 2.5k Since he is willing to pay that much I thing DDR4 and a 2011-v3 socket is appropriate... What do you guys think of this list? https://www.digitec.ch/de/ShopList/Show?shopListId=D4E0B4DA1D9269729959031DBC6C9EFD He chose the case so I can't change it... even if its way to big The Things I am thinking about are the CPU and RAM I really don’t know a thing about this platform... greez Ryx
  7. I don’t want an AIO for two reasons: 1. I never user them 2. They are at least 50.- more expensive and I am at budget limit I fear most that I can’t fit the cooler and rams on a mini ITX or isn’t that a problem?
  8. Hi There I am building a mini ITX rig for a friend but have some trouble finding a nice CPU cooler since I never used mini ITX motherboards. Is there enough space for a "normal" tower cooler? I will use the 380T from corsair as case so I got 150mm space for cooler but I don’t like maxing out the cooler height so I hope the Noctua NH-C14 is a good choice. What do you guys think, any other suggestions?
  9. ohhhh a NUC would be soo nice :3
  10. Hi Do you think I can put Kingston ValueRAM (https://www.digitec.ch/en/s1/product/kingston-valueram-2x-8gb-ddr3-1600-sodimm-204-ram-747197) into my old "msi GT683r"... I am going to reinstall windows on a new SSD a thought about upgrading ram the same time.
  11. Thanks to all. Think I will get the "Devil's Canyon" so a 4790K with the ASUS MAXIMUS VII RANGER.
  12. well i think i am getting the 4790K ^^ going to search a MB now
  13. wouldn't that just be a step back?
  14. Is there no good alternative on the 1150? if not I am going for the 4790K Thanks
  15. Hi there I am looking for a new cpu for quite a while... I used amd all my life but I think there is no point in buying a 8350 or the overheating 9590... So I think I go to i7 haswell... I thought about spending up to 400$ I have to buy a new MB anyway so socket doesn't matter. Am I right that the 5820K only works with DDR4? If so I am not willing to spend so much money on it are there better cpu's in this price area than those two? 5820K: pcpartpicker.com/part/intel-cpu-bx80648i75820k 4790K: pcpartpicker.com/part/intel-cpu-bx80646i74790k I will use the machine for light gaming and some FEM with Siemens NX
