  1. I dunno man.. I can't buy anything near the same quality as the LTT screwdriver for that price here in Australia, i'm looking at 50-100% more in price. I also just bought one of the WAN desk pads, and the sheer size of it (1200x500) for $30 USD (about $45 AUD) again, can't buy anything for the same price in the size I got here in Aus.. The desk pad/mat i'm replacing is a Razer one that's (900x300) paid about the same for it from EB Games about 10 years ago. Similar thing now is 50% more, cause you know shits expensive in 2023.
  2. Yeah. It was a more monotone colour the other day. I'll probably change my mind & change it back to that tomorrow. But I rarely see my desktop though.
  3. I would assume so, as it comes in all the same sizes. I never bought a Northern Lights one, as it was a bit too colourful for my use.
  4. Hey. My WAN Show Desk Pad showed up today. 1200x500 in size, love it. So much room for activities. Will be good when I use my desk for building LEGO or other stuff & doing repairs.
  5. New fridge for the old man. He's still in hospital, so mum & I made the executive decision to upgrade his fridge for him whilst he is away. Will use about 1/3 the power over his old one, better suited for him too being in a wheelchair to access the fridge. It's a nice fridge, and it's also nice to have something brand new with decent warranty.
  6. Picked up a 64GB iPad Air 2 Cellular for dad to replace his iPad 2, since he's in hospital atm & his old iPad isn't doing too great (much like him), has no apps on it, not even YouTube, which he currently watches via safari. Hopefully he likes this. Now he can watch YouTube, free to air TV, motorsports, call his brother via Facetime Audio & play around on Google Earth like he likes to do.
  7. Since my old man is in hospital & will be there for a while after some major surgery that saved his life. I got him a new TV for his room for when he comes home. He was rocking my old (10 years old) TCL 32 inch HD TV. I saw there was a 32 inch Sony on sale for almost $200 off, so I grabbed that for him. It's an Android TV, but I got him an Apple TV a few years ago that he uses for YouTube, Kayo (subscription to live sports) & free to air TV. It's actually got quite a good image even if it is only 720P, great colours as well. Will probably get him a small soundbar of some sort as well, because well, TV speakers suck & are way too tinny.
  8. Vessi, sound great, but for $150+ AUD, i'll stick to Skechers for about 2/3 that price..
  9. I'm also lazy & am running windows again on it, so it can run games too haha.
  10. A waste of money as well. Unless you wanted your PC to double as a space heater.
  11. Those are AMD Bulldozer & Piledriver CPU's.. 32NM 8 core CPU's from 2011/2012. Not great when put up against Intels i5 2600k & i7 2700k of the time if memory serves me right.
  12. My power consumption isn't that bad, saying that we do pay something like 43c kw/h where I am in Australia so.. But my last powerbill for summer was 30% cheaper than last summers so, i'll go with it.
  13. Picked it up for fuck all & figured why not. I have a spare 2060 as well that I got brand new for about a 3rd of its brand-new price too…
  14. Off to watch some DankPods now to get my sexy speaker fill.
  15. I have currently 2x z270i motherboards, 6600k, 7600k, 2x Ncase M1 V5 cases (one black one silver) GTX 1070, RTX 2060 & a Noctua L9i cooler. All sitting here spare.. There's also a Ryzen 2600G, motherboard, ram & 2x M.2 SSD's waiting for a home. But I want to use those. Am thinking of getting an NFC Skyreach Mini 4 & getting a HDPLEX AC to DC PSU & going super tiny build for funsies as well. I'm thinking of selling the 2 cases as a bundle with the CPUs & motherboards because that kind of makes sense. The RTX2060, trying to find the right sandwhich style ITX case so I can just have a random decent portable 1080P system if I so wish. The 1070, may be dead sadly..
  16. Just a little upgrade for my media server. So that's now a 12400 paired with a RTX 3060 & 16gb of ram… Which is pretty awesome, honestly. I also found these socks yesterday when out with the missus. I just had to have Mr Sparkle socks...
  17. M2 MacBook Air iPhone 14 Pro Max Apple Watch Ultra AirPods Pro HomePod Mini x2 (they work well in stereo mode for an Apple TV) Apple TV I currently own all those devices in a different version other than the HomePod Mini, and I like how they all flow. If I could use the Pro Display XDR with my PC i'd take 2 of those however as well..
  18. Nah we do, credit cards are pretty popular here. I just don't have the need for one. It's the same here, especially with services like Square that give you portable electronic payment & any bank will rent a portable card machine to a merchant too.
  19. Only the big retailers here are okay with it, or some will charge an extra fee to cover what AMEX charge the merchant. Blows my mind that people pay money to transfer money.. Here, we have OSKO payment (or PayID as its also known as) it's instant transfer of upto $10k between any applicable bank, which is now the majoarity of banks. It's awesome. Or if you're with the same bank, then it is also instantaneous when transferring money.
  20. Re: AMEX, one of my old work places refused to accept it as the fees attached for processing it were stupidly high.
  21. This has nothing to do with a credit card though. It's standard issue at banks in Australia. I don't have a credit card & don't have an interest in one. My regular bank accounts ATM card is a VISA Debit card.. Nothing to do with a credit card. I have that & my bank account linked to my PayPal, both are the exact same account the money comes out of. Just depends if the way PayPal is being used if I have to use one or the other. Like if I use the PayPal pay in 4 feature, I can only use my debit card, not my bank account as it requires something with a credit feature, or can be used like a credit card.
  22. Your bank doesn't issue you a debit card that doubles as a VISA or Mastercard activated debit card? It's standard in Aus that a bank will issue you a VISA or Mastercard enabled card which allows you to use it like a credit card for online purchases etc..
  23. ...And another GPU I bought has showed up.. Now to look for a very small ITX case to fit this into with a relevant CPU & some NVME storage for shits & giggles.
  24. The 8000 series was the pinnacle of Nvidia. My 8800GTS was such a great card until it died in like 2013..
  25. Just shy of $100k AUD ($69k USD, nice) for managing a liquor store on the East Coast of Auastralia… That includes bonuses…
