  1. Hello! I have a weird problem whenever I play games on my computer it randomly freezes and my monitor goes black and starts to flicker. While this goes on the sound of something plugging in and unplugging goes on and a pop up of a new sound device comes up (the monitor). It goes back to "normal operation" after a couple of seconds but the game lags, so the PC requires a restart. This can happen after a couple of minutes to some hours. I have tried to do a clean install of Windows, but the problem still persists. I have also tried to force it to happen with various stress tests, but with no luck. It feels like it's the GPU that's faulty, but I am not entierly sure. If anyone else has any idea of what it could that would be appreciated!
  2. Sounds very plausibel. It did not work with my other PSU, so I guess it's a problem with the motherboard. I'll have to find a used 1155-board then if I want it to work Thanks for the help anyways people!
  3. Yes, the recommended watt is 600+. It has worked with 650W before and did the same now (with my old PSU), but just not with the one I just bought.
  4. I could try that, but it's a lot of work to redo the cable management haha!
  5. Hello! I have a Dell Inspiron 660 that I bought a Corsair CX650M power supply for, so it could power my spare Asus GTX 580 DirectCU II. The problem I encouterd is that the power LED's doesn't light up on the graphics card when the power was switched on, but it would light up when I pressed the start button, but there's no image on my screen. I tried to put it in my ordinary computer, which has a Cooler Master G650M power supply in it, and then the graphics card would work and power on as normal. Could this be a faulty PSU? Or maybe it doesn't work with the motherboard, which I doubt, but you never know. Appreciate all the help I can get!
  6. Are you runnig at 60hz when connected to the TV? I've had my refresh rate automatically set to lower than 60hz when connected to my TV, and that felt very laggy.
  7. Have you uninstalled the old drivers and installed the new ones?
  8. If you have a valid product key it will dissapear when you connect to the Internet. You can right click "This Computer" and pick properties and at the bottom of the window you can choose to put in a product key.
  9. Try using something like Malwarebytes or HitmanPro.
  10. That's normal, but what are the temps when you are playing games?
  11. 45°C is a safe temp, so that's no problem. You can check how much you idle in Windows with something like HWMonitor, sometimes they show different temps.
  12. The 950 is a bit better, so personally I would go for that one.
