I'm not sure how well it works, since I just found out about it. But the Logitech mouseware software for my old ball mouse has an option to disable mouse acceleration in games, in addition to the then standard option to increase the PS/2 report rate to 200 reports a second.

    What's even funnier-I've got one of if not the first tri button mouse made by Logitech-back before scroll wheels were really thought of, and its the default image for the Windows 98SE/2K software that came with a 2001 magazine disc.
