My 80GB 7200RPM WD HDD benchmarks at very similar speeds to my Samsung HA250JC (250GB 5400RPM) drive, and yet when it comes to actually doing things under Windows 98SE (with or without the latest VIA drivers), it is a shitload faster. I should have been using it al along.

    And the rigs Geforce 6200A is idling at 44oC, with the Pentium III 1000 idling at 36oC with the stock cooler+shitty 0.86W/mK thermal compound. Things are turning out better in this iteration of my "Ultimate Legacy Rig".
