I always forget about DDU, and for some reason didn't think about isolating the port. Thanks

That’s what I’ve done with the “bad” monitor. It does lock out a few other settings, like black stabilizer, contrast, gamma, color temp, individual r/g/b sliders, and black level if HDR is on, but I mainly use the second monitor for YouTube and other streaming content so this works for me for now. Just worried about, honestly, a bad display port port on my way too expensive GPU lol

I'm having a weird auto-HDR issue that I haven't been able to capture because it's random, hoping someone can help. Specs are as follows - 2 LG Ultragear 27 inch monitors, model 27GP83B-B.AUS, not overclocked, each running @ 165.97 Hz ASUS Strix RTX 3090 OC Windows 11 latest public build NVidia driver 496.76 To the issue - I have auto-HDR turned on on both monitors. I know that the max peak brightness of these panels is "only" 400 nits, so it's what Linus would call "HDAren't", but it looks better for me, and I notice a difference on the content I consume, so I like to have it on. The problem is that on the left monitor, I'm starting to see artifacting if Auto-HDR is turned on. Randomly, I'll get stripes or blocks of grey show up for a split second. This is whether I'm consuming SDR or HDR content, or if I'm just sitting with the background active. The right monitor doesn't experience anything like this. If I turn Auto-HDR off, it goes away. Do I have a faulty panel? Maybe a display port cable? The cables are the same make/model for both monitors.

It's gonna be used for gaming peripherals, so a hub should actually work as well, thanks for that suggestion. I keep forgetting that there are massive hubs that don't also include stuff I don't need, like HDMI ports and whatnot

Hey all, looking to get a USB add-on card for my sons PC - he just needs more ports, lol. We have a few PCI-E slots available, but I just can't go on one or two reviews, which is all some of these cards have on Newegg and Amazon - it's not a big use item, I guess. Does anyone have any suggestions for a card that can add 4-7 USB-A ports? Another C would be nice, but it's A's that we need the most. Thank you hive mind

Do you use Antivirus software or not?

Thank you :-) .The highest CPU is around 48c under load, the GPU got up to about 65c after a few hours of Fallout 4 last night. I haven't officially benchmarked anything as of yet

The dogs are to the right, out of frame. Tried to keep them, and their slobber, as far away from the rig as possible, lol

I saw that beast and said "yeah, that's going in there, I'm glad they were out of stock of the original one I'd saved", lol. Was planning on an EVGA stock design, but they were gone. Only EVGA ones they had were the hybrid ones, so I opted for this instead. very nice sitting in there

I used to work for EA game support, just last year. If they haven't changed anything, they'll put you in a callback queue, so it's not like you'll be stuck listening to cruddy musak. However, what EChondo had done and what you're looking for work differently in the back end systems. They wouldn't, and can't, actually transfer your game from one account to another. They'd simply delete it from one acct, and grant you the game on the other. Your solder and items are not transferrable, sadly.
