  1. I don't know how I'll use it yet. But I definitely want one.
  2. Sagitta Spectrum mouse because I like the mouse. New mice might make me feel better.
  3. Yup, he would just pick whatever's available at the store during the purchase as he is not concerned about the looks of the case. I'm planning to recommend a 40 USD case like the Thermaltake Versa H22. EDIT: I like your Fractal case suggestion but the only available case listed in the vendor's site is a Core 1000. It should be fine?
  4. Hello, Thank you very much for your inputs! I've consolidated your recommendations and modified it based on local availability and some bias. The current setup will be: PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: Intel Core i3-4170 3.7GHz Dual-Core Processor ($109.99 @ Newegg) Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-B85M-D3H Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($72.89 @ OutletPC) Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($42.89 @ OutletPC) Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($49.98 @ OutletPC) Video Card: Sapphire Radeon R9 380 4GB NITRO Dual-X OC Video Card ($208.98 @ Newegg) Power Supply: SeaSonic S12II 520W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($55.99 @ SuperBiiz) Total: $540.72 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2015-12-14 20:07 EST-0500 Overall the price dropped down just a bit but I believe he will be happy with this. I chose WD blue vs sg for personal bias against sg Ill resolve this soon. Thanks!
  5. Hello, I'm trying to build a pc parts list to recommend a friend although i'm not sure if what I built is 'balanced' in some way. I overshot already by a factor of PHP 3000 ( 63 USD) and am wondering if the pc I built is too ambitious for the budget. Budget: PHP 20,000 - 25,000 ( USD 400 - USD 520 ) Location: We live in the Philippines and has a very limited choice of computer stores to go to. I'm not sure if I can post the links to such stores so Ill opt not to. Aim: Primarily gaming. He currently plays Dota2, Lol which can be played even without discrete graphics but wants to play some new titles soon. (particularly Tomb raider and GTA5). He definitely wont be doing any form of video editing Monitors: He's content to use any form of decent tn panel single 1080p monitor. Peripherals: are not counted on the budget. Upgrade: new system to buy. The current rig: PCPartPicker part list: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/HCqVxr Price breakdown by merchant: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/HCqVxr/by_merchant/ CPU: Intel Core i3-4160 3.6GHz Dual-Core Processor ($114.89 @ OutletPC) Motherboard: Asus B85M-G Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($89.79 @ OutletPC) Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($39.89 @ OutletPC) Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($49.98 @ OutletPC) Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 960 4GB Video Card ($199.99 @ SuperBiiz) Power Supply: SeaSonic S12II 520W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($50.99 @ SuperBiiz) Total: $545.53 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2015-12-14 12:30 EST-0500 He'll decide for his computer case. Prices are relatively the same. I'm quite convinced that he would want to keep the 960 in the build but im not sure where else to chip it down to decrease the price but still make a good gaming pc. Also, if we choose to go AMD, will there be issues in terms of power consumption? He's also concerned about that. He's willing to pay a bit more today if it means lower energy cost for ~4yrs or so. Or is the difference insignificant? Thank you guys in advance. Apologies if this post is sub par as this is my first ever post.
