RTX 2080ti vs RTX 2080 +9700+ new motherboard

I appreciate your POV wojtepanik, it is always good to have a reality check. I would say however a 50-60%+FPS increase is pretty tangible. Worth $1500, that is debatable and I agree that the card is overpriced. I am however in a situation where I am prepared to make the plunge and will definitely not see it as a waste of money. Cheers!

    Thanks Constantin.

Thanks! Good insight about the multithreading. Upgrade the CPU when it does become an issue.
  4. Hello, I am looking to upgrade but I am not sure what route I should go. My rig is in my signature and I have an Acer Predator Ultrawide monitor with 100 hz refresh rate, Gsync at 3440 x 1440 resolution. Option 1: an RTX 2080 ti and sell my GTX1080 (approximate cost after selling card $1400-$1500 CAD) Option 2: an RTX 2080, an I7 9700K with new motherboard and keep existing RAM and sell my GTX 1080, 6700k and motherboard( after selling my used stuff approximate cost $1200 to $1300 CAD) I play PUBG (a lot), Assassin's Creed Odyssey, BF5, and very interested in upcoming titles- The Division 2, Rage 2, Cyberpunk 2077 and The Outer Worlds. My brother suggests I get the 2080ti, will the 6700k handle that card well? Which option would give me the best benefit? Thanks for any input.
  5. Thanks RadiatingLight, The duplicate display option worked, but changed the resolution ( which is OK). I also tried the dragging the video over option, but wasn't able to drag it back. Are there any commands to drag it back or move between monitors? Sorry if this is obvious, but I really have no experience with this. Thanks! P.S. The TV is in another room so I am unable to see it while at my computer.
  6. Hello, I am trying to run my computer to a TV in my workout room so I can watch YouTube videos while I workout. I have physically run an HDMI cable from my video card to the TV and all it does is display my desktop background, there is no shortcuts, taskbar etc. I am assuming the issue lies with the different resolutions, but I lack experience with this and wondering if I can get some assistance? The relevant specifications and below: Main Monitor: Acer XB271HU running at 1440p TV (that I am trying to run the feed to): Lg 32" 1360 x 768 resolution OS: Windows 7 Home GPU: EVGA GTX 1080 SC (Geforce experience and latest drivers installed) Cheers!

    [CAD] [Best Buy] $499 DELL 27" 1440p, 144Hz Gysync

I would be all over it if I didn't have my Acer Predator.

Corrected. That would be pretty fast!

I have the Acer Predator XB 271HU and I love it. I got it refurbished with full warranty and have had a great gaming experience with it.

Worth the switch from Audioengine A5+?

Well I did do a comparison and there is a noticeable difference. I tested both formats with headphones and speakers (many times at 10-25sec intervals) and the FLAC file seems like the volume level is slightly higher with more detail in the softer ambient sounds. Tested it (fittingly) with the track, "Everything in Its Right Place". I am going to test a few more tracks but it looks like I will be ripping my collection to FLAC. Thanks.

Worth the switch from Audioengine A5+?

Thanks for the imput guys. I will re re-rip a few and see if they sound better and I have no issues redoing everything if it does sound better. Assuming they do sound better and I do re-rip everything to FLAC format, what would be your opinion on going from the A5+s to the 305s? My ears are probably aren't the most sensitive and I am old , but I did hear a noticeable difference with my switch to the headphones.
