Timberwolfhusky's Achievements

  1. @Ryan_Vickers It would indeed help games running on Wine etc.. vis-a-vis emulation. However I am more to the idea that the fact that Linux would have more solid GPU support, would prompt developers to natively develop for Linux. But indeed, it would help "emulation" immensely.
  2. @Ryan_Vickers Cannot say I blame them. As the only competent tech guy in the family, everyone and their dog had their PC 'upgraded' during the update onslaught... Every time I have to touch it, I hate it even more. It is a nightmare from an administrative standpoint since MS just undoes every setting and policy with the forced updates..
  3. @AnnoyedShelf It is just around the corner, there have been some advancements in the Linux kernel that provide nigh transparent GPU pass-trough.. Perhaps that will incite developers to support Linux more ubiquitously.
  4. Just wonder who would keep Win 10 for the DX12 pretense...Not worth it once you start getting super bowl nonsense on your desktop.
  5. I am just intrigued as to how they would pull it off... however revered Portal is, how is the 'mainstream' audience going to cope with the fact that the protagonist is invariably silent? Long gone ars the days of 'Instrumental' Conan...
  6. I am currently stuck with, indeed not running, stuck with a 670m. Even the lowest end of the current gen hardware would wipe the floor with my hardware. Dross.
  7. It is not surprising. I have Time Warner Cable and now that will become 'Spectrum" a.k.a Charter Comms. On a daily basis, what I posit to be peak hours, speeds drop from the advertised, and paid for mind you 100Mbps to the 600-700Kbps, ergo a 720p Youtube video is functionally unplayable. I have tested the latter speeds over a span of a couple of months, and yet the data I have collected has proven to be utterly irrelevant when complaining to TWC. Incidentally, do not hastily generalize that it might have anything to do with my equipment, all my networking is done over wired gigabit connections with CAT6 runs and properly configured AP/Switch/Modem; even if I was using wireless, 802.11 AC will not bottleneck the marginal Internet speeds. I know one could not, ludicrously, expect the advertised speeds to be constant, but neither would I expect that the advertised speeds would be over 100x slower either.
  8. "AMD just DROPPED some crazy knowledge" I see what you did there....
  9. Why? I have never owned a decent keyboard in my life, let alone a good mechanical one. Admittedly I do not have a rig either, but a notebook. I'd certainly enjoy this to be a first.
  10. The only constraint of my system is a dodgy LiteON SSD... This would truly make up for my recently defunct Galaxy gear 1 as to alleviate the pain...
  11. ROCCAT KOVA... Why? Funny you should ask. I have been using touch pads for the last 5 years on the guise of not being able to afford a decent mouse...
  12. I am currently "rocking" a G75 with a puny GTX 670m. I have always been for compact and mobile hardcore gaming and this seems like a heavenly option for the massive rig hater.. Who knows, perhaps there will be more to these holidays than disappointment and heartbreak...
  13. Imprimis, there is a beautiful Phoenix etched in each of these peripherals. Secondly, there is a ravishing phoenix etched in each of these peripherals. Thridly, the keyboard looks utterly great, I would most certainly choose it over everything else with all the alacrity in the world. Need I beseech you to have this "win doesn't comment"?
  14. I would say that Smart Switch is an extremely convenient feature that has been long due to be implemented "natively". Everytyhing else however can be relaitevile easy replicated through software.. However that does not mean that the hardware is as juicy as it can possibly get. I cannot articulate how utterly ludicrous my joy would be if I managed to get a hold of such godly device.
  15. WHERE TO BUY? So, I am all about getting this notebook. However, I cannot seem to find the original, non-Gsync model, and the PRO Sync modelnis on preorder on amazon and out of stock on newegg, and I am hesitant of sketchy sites... My birthday is nigh, so I would like to source an x7, the gsync version would be a bonus yet it's not mandatory.
