  1. I dont have any dedicated speakers, and (i didnt build the PC yet)

I currently use a BOSE AE2 ,and the integrated speakers of the BenQ RL2255HM

Sound cards wont help you much, you should stick with the onboard sound. The only time you really need an external sound card is if you have crackling/hissing with your current solution, or have high-end headphones to power.

  2. Razer Blade Pro is the best in terms of raw horsepower out of those listed, but it costs more than I think someone should spend on a gaming laptop. I could see it being a good purchase if you travel a lot and must have gaming performance on the go, but for most people, I think it's a waste when you can have a gaming desktop that destroys it and a laptop for travel that can still game, but not as well. You could even split it and have a $1200 laptop and a $1200 dektop, and both would be great gaming machines.

  3. They're made for different things. Xeons are more for servers and professional applications such as 3D modeling, or video editing. i7s are still made for professional apps, but are more geared towards the consumer and have better support for applications such as games. If you don't know why you need a Xeon, you don't need a Xeon. i7s are better for gaming/editing hybrid rigs. Xeons are better for strict professional environments.

  4. so a few thing were detected by that thing you sent me and it says pick an option, do i just pick quarantine? and apply action.

Check all infections and click "Remove Selected", then restart your PC and see if the problem is fixed.

  5. Is avg antivirus any good btw? I was running a trail version and was wondering if i should just buy it?

I would uninstall it and replace it with Avast. There really isn't any need to buy an AV. I run Avast with MalwareBytes (and an occasional Spybot 2 scan) and I haven't had an infection in a long time.

  6. rapt.exe and explorer.exe, and I don't have any of them open. Also can someone tell me what is raptr?

Most likely referring to this Raptr

    From Wikipedia:

Raptr is a social networking website and instant messenger, targeted towards video game players. The company was founded by Dennis Fong, co-founder of Xfire, in 2007 and is located in Mountain View, CA. The company has raised 12 million dollars in funding from investors including Accel Partners and Founders Fund.

The client, which is a downloadable application for Microsoft Windows, supports AIM, Yahoo! Instant Messenger, GTalk, Windows Live Messenger, Xfire, ICQ, and Facebook Chat protocols and allows users to import their Xbox Live, PlayStation Network, and Steam accounts. It also includes other features such as game/achievements tracking, in-game overlay, and game management. Raptr offers a few images showing a user's game statistics for use in signatures.

On the website, users add video games to their profile, as well as track game play time and achievements, share reviews, game related information, and game activity. Raptr lets users publish their gaming accomplishments to sites like Twitter, Plurk, FriendFeed, and Facebook.
  7. I wouldn't do it because I think pre-ordering games is a bad idea. It's a digital copy, it's not like they can run out like they used to. The games can end up being terrible and having many technical problems. Pre-order bonuses are never worth risking wasting $60. Save your money until reviews come out.

  8. Do I need to have played Fallout one and two?  Thanks!

    No, they're different story wise.

    My picks:

    Terraria

    Civilization 5

    Garry's Mod

    Castle Crashers

    Fallout 3 & NV

    Team Fortress 2*

    Borderlands 1 & 2

    Bioshock 1 & Infinite

    Grand Theft Auto IV

    Deus Ex GOTY

    Planetside 2*

    Dead Space 1 & 2 (maybe 3)

Counter Strike Source & Global Offensive

    Quake Live*

    Starbound

Just Cause 2 w/ free multiplayer mod

    Left 4 Dead 2 (no need to buy/play 1)

    PAC-MAN Championship Edition DX+

    Might add more later...

Most of these will go on sale, and I would strongly recommend waiting. You can usually catch a 66-80% discount on most older games, even AAA titles.

    * = Free-to-play

  9. Please answer the following:

    1. Where do you live?
    2. What currency is your budget in?
    3. What are you doing with this PC? Just gaming, or are you editing videos, or 3D modeling?
    4. Do you have peripherals, such as a keyboard, mouse, monitor, and headphones/speakers?
    5. Do you need an OS?
  10. "Best" is subjective to what you're doing with the software. What do you need to edit? Do you need to apply cinema-like effects to 4K videos, or just move some clips and crossfade them? If you only need to edit a few things, you can download a free trial of something such as Sony Vegas, or you can just use Windows Movie Maker.
