  1. What resolution are you playing at?
  2. If your budget is that high you might want to go for the i7, although you may still want to lower your budget if you're just gaming/lightly editing.
  3. What's your full system budget? I would say you should lean more towards the i5.
  4. What is your current AV? I would download MalwareBytes and do a full scan, and then post your results here.
  5. Hotspot Shield is probably your best bet for free, although a paid VPN will provide much better protection, speed, and anonymity. VPNs are fairly cheap, I think it's worth the investment. PIA is about $40/year, which is really cheap when you consider what you are getting.
  6. Private Internet Access is a pretty good one.
  7. I got a different key so I think it's one-time. If anybody wants it, PM me and I'll send it.
  8. I hover around 2.8-3.2MB/s when downloading Steam games. I can occasionally hit about 4.0MB/s, my speeds are really incontinent.
  9. This was from my RO2Redist, so I'm very certain it's a false positive.
  10. IIRC at one point he said he uses HD 600s and an O2+ODAC.
  11. I had some 558s for a while and they sounded really good, I would recommend them.
  12. Looks pretty solid, however you should get a 780.
  13. You should replace both fans with something like Scythe GTs if you care about noise, plus they will cool better than your current fan setup. I get high temps on my 3930k as well, it's a really toasty CPU.
  14. I use Avast + Malwarebytes + Spybot 2 S&D
  15. You're going to need a bigger drive for that if you don't have one already...
  16. Nvidia G-Sync Shadowplay Shield support CUDA acceleration PhysX AMD Eyefinity Mantle Cryptocoin mining OpenCL acceleration I feel like Nvidia has the lead as of right now because coin mining has caused a massive price spike on AMD's cards. The best way to shop for a graphics card is to compare the price/performance ratio as @helping said.
  17. IC Diamond is considered the best, although alternatives exist like Noctua's paste and Arctic Silver. Thermal paste is so cheap that you should just get the best.
  18. I'm sure someone, somewhere, under the age of 13 has a rig just like that for playing Minecraft at 1280x800.
  19. I know you said they have to have a mic, but getting dedicated headphones and a clip-on mic really is the better option. Better sound quality for both ends, usually better comfort, better build quality, and you can always upgrade to better headphones than any headset and still have a mic attached. If you must get a headset, I could recommend the Siberia V2s. I have a friend with those and they sound pretty good for a headset, still not as good as headphones.
  20. PayPal does this too. Of all things I want to be secure, it's the service that holds money and personal information...
  21. What are you using them for? Where do you live?
  22. I think you should save your money for right now, and look into a better CPU in the future, maybe even LGA 2011 if your budget gets big enough. A new GPU is also a good upgrade, but you might want to wait a little bit.
