  1. My Be Quiet! Silent Loop 120mm AIO has been making a very concerning noise. About once a week, sometimes once every 2 weeks, i hear this VERY loud buzzing/whirring noise coming from my AIO. The fans aren't jamming up, and when I give the top of my case a good thump it stops, followed by the faint sound of rushing water. What could be wrong? Is the pump jamming up?
  2. SOLVED! Turns out that (unsurprisingly) AMD's Crossfire mode was causing problems. Turning it off allowed me to run the game for more than 2 seconds.
  3. I've upgraded to the latest 15.7.1 drivers. Still the same problem.
  4. This morning I upgraded to Windows 10. Things have been OK so far, but whenever I attempt to play Rocket League, my PC just shuts down like I've pulled the plug on it. I've tried other, more graphically intense games but they don't show the same symptoms. I've updated my drivers and removed any unnessary DVR functions. The game was working like a champ on Windows 7 before I upgraded. What could be the problem? Could it my PSU shitting the bed? Specs are: Windows 10 Home Intel i5 2500K @3.3GHz MSI Z77-A G-45 Sapphire R9 280X Crossfire (crossfire disabled) 8Gb G.skill DDR3 Dual channel Corsair CX750M OS is on a 120GB Samsung 840 SSD and the game installed on a Seagate Barracuda 2Tb. Im sorry but I don't know any other community that might give me meaningful answers. Google results are rather sparse.
  5. Something very strange is happening to my Nexus 5. A few hours ago, my phone was at about 30% charge. The next time I tried to have a look at it, it had turned off. I tried turning it on again, but it booted into the "Optimising apps" screen, and then it would turn off. I tried this a few times but it kept turning off. I managed to get it to a power source and found out that it was reading the battery charge level at 0%. It's now fluctuating between 70% and 40% charge every time I restart it. I'm going to leave it on charge overnight to see if it wants to behave itself. This is odd as a few weeks ago I broke the internal LCD screen and had it repaired. Is my beloved N5 on its last legs? What could cause such a problem? The phone is completely stock with the Google Now launcher.
  6. Had to rip your specs from your profile 7/10
  7. A good 750W PSU should do the job just fine. Just stay away from budget PSU's such as generic PSUs and Corsairs CX series. They overheat and fail well before their max recommended output. I have the Corsair CX750M and I experience brown-outs when running intensive games/benchmarks when my 280X's are in crossfire. I would also recommend spending a bit more on a high-outputting PSU so you have room to overclock if you so desire.
  8. A Fujitsu mb? I didn't know they made them. I thought they made air conditioners. Anyway, 5/10. Im guessing prebuilt with a 750ti thrown in?
  9. High price per GB Small-ish capacities Limited number of reads and write cycles. That last one shouldn't concern you if you're using one for day to day use. The pro's FAR exceed the cons. Seriously, if you are reading this and don't have an SSD or at least a hybrid drive as your OS partition, you should be slightly ashamed of yourself.
  10. CoolerMaster Hyper 212 EVO for stock and mild overclocks. Noctua NH-D15 for medium to high overclocks Closed loop water cooling if you're insane.
  11. Can confirm. I have both the Vapor-X and the Tri-X/Toxic editions of the 280x. Vapor-X remains stupidly cold and quiet whilst my Toxic sounds like a vacuum cleaner.
  12. Holyshit/11 Guess there's no kill like overkill right?
