i have windows 7, and i am going from amd a78 chipset to a990fx

i dont want to install fresh... oh i forgot about the windows license... i can contact microsoft and update the situation with them...

ya...i will.. i was worried about the drivers mostly... and windows detecting the new motherboard... thank you... any other issues that may occur??

excatly...it will heavly bottleneck.. you will need top grade cpu for 3 r9290xs..

i bought a crappy motherboard at first, and had to deal with regular crashes..blue-screens... and also made a ghetto solution for an extra fan on top of my case...that fan is just attached by 1 screw jutting out the top of the case...and supported on the other side by the corsair h80i radiator... hahaa and when i had my 1st pc (in the athlon 32 days), i used to press the on button...it never used to start...so i had to slap the cabinet...and then press the on button...and it started automatically... no wonder it end up dying

while installing a new motherboard, do i have to re-install windows that is in my hard drive...or just simple plug-in the hard drive and everything will be detected automatically??? or is there any thing to do in the bios for this case??

yes...1600mhz ram...and 650w max psu... and dump the cash in an ssd like kingston v300 or samsung 840 evo dnt go for windows 7 home premium.. go for the ultimate...or go for 8.1

how much does the fsb matter for overclocking an amd fx8320??

i already have a build... people at LTT forums suggested i buy a better motherboard (i had a gigabyte ga a78 lmt usb3 motherboard), and i used to overclock in that previous motherboard and ended up with crashed pc....so i upgraded my motherboard to asus crosshair formula z and just wanted to know how much the vrm matters...because i didnt understand the answers in some sites i googled... so... by the way thanks..

case solved.. some updates messed it up... had to re-install updates...and some internet settngs.. btw thanks guys...

i upgraded the i.e to 11...still same problem...

go to bios and check the multiplier is around 18.5 or above..
