  1. I have zero experience with programming and coding. I cannot take them yet at college because my math isn't high enough. And I have not taken any at home. Anything that requires math, I'm not very good at self teaching. Any other subject is fine. Math is the only thing I struggle with.
  2. yes. But the thing is is right now, I can't even take programming classes because they all have prerequisites. I'm currently taking college Algebra 2. After I need Trig, Pre Cal, Calculus, Stats, and one other class after that. Part of the reason why I wanna do this is my dream job is to one day work for Microsoft, Google, Apple, or steam.
  3. I've been attending community college for.. Maybe 3 years now? I'm currently majoring in computer science. I'm starting to feel discouraged. Here's my problem. I love computers. I love technology. Electronics. I built my own computer. I love building things and taking them apart. Hands on. Legos. Computers are so fascinating. I want to learn everything I can about technology in general. I want to be a jack of all trades. I assumed computer science was more broad for a computer degree. But.. The math. I'm bad at math, and I hate it on top of it. I'm so bad at math, that I tested into Math 61 which is like.. 5th grade math?? So my first year in college I took Math 61 which was easy for me. Really a waste of time. I still need another 5 or 6 more math classes. I'm worried I won't be able to pass.. I love computers, but this math is killing me. Any thoughts?? Any other degrees that involves electronics and less math?
  4. Will the CORSAIR Hydro Series H105 Extreme Performance fit? if so, would i mount it on the top or side of the case? the Top fans are 200mm. But this liquid cooler fan is 240mm
  5. the H55 would be better than the 100? or the 55 is cheaper?
  6. I really have thought about it, but getting both an intel mobo and cpu would be too pricey for me. Ive got bills im paying every month so I dont wanna pay too much. im gonna go half and half with parents sort of. the 8370 is $194 on amazon. Ill pay $150 and parents will pay the other $50. Then, i would still need to get a cooler for it too which would most likely be another $100.. soo total for me would be about $250 or so. Id like to stay in that range, or cheaper if possible lol. like i said, bills are killing me.

  8. I would but my motherboard only supports AMD processors.
  9. Birthday is coming up, I have been wanting to upgrade my processor to AMD FX 8370. It's stock speed is 4 hertz. A lot of reviews says it tends to run hot. So, what is the best fan/liquid cooler for it? I have the NZXT Phantom Full Tower White case. A while back, i think i tried the evo 121?? something like that. Anyway, the fan was too big and my ram got in the way. I have a Crosshair V Formula Z motherboard with all 4 ram slots filled. Whats the best fan that would fit in my case/motherboard? Thanks again guys. I've used this site once before and had quick positive feedback!
  10. I preordered Witcher 3, what processor would you suggest for that?
  11. That's a quadcore, How would that handle games like bf4, skyrim, Arma 3? I figure if a computer can run Arma 3 and descent settings and solid frames then you have a Great computer haha.
  12. Huh, okay. Thanks, I will look into that! (My bad, I've only used these forums a couple of times so I wasn't sure how to respond directly to someones comment)
  13. Tedster, I believe my motherboard only fits AM3+ socket Processors. So no intel processor for me
  14. @Fgtfv567 I figure'd my cpu was bottlenecking. I guess for now the 8350 would be the better investment. I'm just not sure which liquid cooler would fit. Plus, I've never personally installed one myself so I'm a bit paranoid of screwing up and causes a water leak.
  15. So, currently in my computer I have a Windforce 770 4gb and a AMD fx 6350 (6 core 3.9hrtz) My question is, which should I upgrade first? I'm still debating on whether to get a single 980 or save up a bit more and get two 970s. (keep in mind I want to get the G1 version of the cards) If I did do that, would my cpu bottleneck? Should I upgrade to a AMD fx 8350 instead? Also, if I did get a new GPU, could I keep my 770 and use it for ONLY phsyx? I would assume that would give me better performance? I also, would most likely need to get a water cooler if I did get the AMD 8350 since it runs very hot. Im not sure which liquid cooler would fit. I have an NZXT phantom full tower and my Motherboard is Crosshair V Formula Z. I also have all 4 ram slots filled. I'd appreciate all the advice
  16. Alright, I'll look into dual 970s then, Price wise its not too far compared to a single 980. And yeah, I'll most likely get a Liquid cooling CPU cooler. Thanks!
  17. Okay well currently my build is MOBO: Corsair V Formula Z RAM: 16gb Vulcan 2400hrtz PSU: Corsair 750w Processor: AMD fx 6350 (6 core running at standard 3.9hrtz) Not overclock because still using stock fan GPU: Gigabyte 770 4gb (Also not overclock) Case: NZXT Phantom Full Tower White Monitor: Samsung 22inch HDMI tv, running at 1080p I have two 120mm Fans on top case blowing out hot air. One fan on back blowing hot air. two fans on side sucking in cool air. Here are my questions, Eventually I would like to upgrade my GPU to either a Gigabyte 970G1 or Gigabyte 980G1. What I want to know, is would it be better to get a single 980G1 or get two 970G1 and Sli? A single 980G1 is around $670 while dual 970G1 is just above $700. I know graphics don't always make a game but, I love it when i can run my games at Max settings while still maintaining 60fps or more. Also, If I do upgrade my GPU, would my processor bottleneck and cause my CPU to not run at its full potential? I was thinking of getting an AMD fx 8350 (8 core running at 4.0 hrtz) but everyone says it runs so hot that the stock fan doesn't work. I know liquid cooling is great but I worry about leaking, so what other fans would work? I ordered a fan a while ago, (air fan) but it was HUGE and my processor slot is right next to my Ram so the fan didn't fit. I'd appreciate any advice. Matthew
  18. I would say the Khuler since I do not have a cpu cooler, only a stock fan. Linus, you are by far my favorite computer/tech reviewer on youtube. I think your small company is an inspiration and something I would like to do as well someday. Keep up the great work Linus (And others in the company good job guys)
  19. Thanks guys, I really appreciate it. Maybe I will get the H100 then,
  20. I recently finished my first gaming pc. The only thing I need left for it is a CPU cooler. (currently using a stock crap fan very loud) I want to get liquid cooling since, well they work very well. I am a bit paranoid though. What are the chances of leaking? I have AMD FX-6350 6core 3.9hrz. I also am using the NZXT Phantom White Full Tower Case. What would be a good cpu cooler? I was looking into some Corsair coolers.. I am willing to spend around 80$ or so. I'd appreciate any help. Thanks!
