  1. that great moment when you need help understanding maxwell's architecture for a report and you find a post in the forums explaining specs. you da best @[member=TechFan@ic]
  2. I GOT A NEW COMPY!!! :D :D Updating hardware specs soon!

  3. The + My name. Nuff said. Hahaha
  4. Thanks man!! Yeah I'm using a chiclet keyboard on my macbook pro, hopefully that's not bottlenecking my performance lol
  5. Visit the Typing Test and try! first try in a LONG time. I need to break past the 60-80 mark, big time. How do you guys get to 100+
  6. Well the purpose behind the survey is to understand how people feel about social media today. It will help in understanding social media in the future, including what makes people more likely to enjoy their social experiences online and/or off. I can keep you guys updated if you want!
  7. Hey guys! I assumed this would might be a good place to talk about this, but I need help getting a bunch of responses on my survey about social media! I need to get ~30 - 50 within these next couple weeks, so please if you can, check out the google form below and express your opinions!! http://goo.gl/forms/tZHf9Kx4YU PS - it's also only 2.5 questions but feel free to talk your face off! Thanks community/forum! You da real MVPs.
  8. Sup sup! So my current/only computer is a(n early) 2008 macbook pro. Now, I've been waiting for an opportunity to present itself so that I can ask my parents to help me get a custom built computer going, and this processor might just be that. I am a full-on creative, doing graphic design, wanting to get into hardcore video editing, and a computer engineering student/gamer constantly learning more and more code to work on application development and software engineering. So I hope that I can soon enough get something super dope and such a beast at processing and multitasking rather than use a computer that has minecraft frozen at 40 fps and a 10 chunk radius. I really hope I can get something like this at some point, and I also want to participate more in these forums. I just have nothing to contribute, as I have no experience of my own personal computer components. Only a man looking at the figurative window of all the computer components I can imagine. Especially now that my 360 is red-ringed . Either way, keep being awesome and hopefully I can chat here sooner than later! Stay awesome guys, @TheNoelB
  9. Got the same message, replied to Linus on YouTube. Then I saw people were doing the same here. Great job everyone! Keeping the community safe!
  10. I can finally reply!!! WOO So, not sure if you guys are going to read this since you're in the zone at the MOD24 event, but hopefully you guys do at some point. I actually didn't find you guys until just a few months ago, as I was trying to decide between a couple of components for a build that now will never be, and I found NCIX stuff first, but then got caught into your LinusTechTips channel. I'm registered in the forum, subscribed right after the million mark, and actually followed one of you guys on Twitter because sure, I care about the channel if you provide great content, but I care for you guys for the sacrifices you make in order to do it. I know there were probably a lot of costs and energy, financially and otherwise, that went into making this get to this point, and I'm nothing short of proud. Even as a 24 year old computer engineer work-in-progress that's not solely an engineer as much as I am in a purely love-love relationship with the development of technology, seeing that you guys aren't like many of the people I run into on a daily basis, but instead are super chill and (I bet) a lot of fun to hang out with, makes me happy and only wish I could build with you guys. I still need to actually make a build myself (right now my only computer is a 2008 Macbook Pro, with upgraded ram to a whopping 4GB RAM running at a incredibly speedy 667MHz, 2.6 Intel Core 2 Duo, with a recently upgraded hard drive from the super spacious 200 GB to a gargantuan 1 TB, with an astounding graphics from NVIDIA's GeForce 8600M GT with a super huge 512MB onboard...and hopefully you take this all as sarcastic as I'm writing it. haha) but I know that when I do, I'll have people here on the forum, and potentially friends with some of you all to not only help, but to enjoy the experience with. Stay incredible compadres. Noel B.
